no kidding. I want it to just be a positive thing - are there any negatives that might come as a result of lightning upgrades? Besides lack of experience in the cockpit.
truth. Not specific to compass, but once regional upgrades start getting real quick is there a risk of street captains? Has that been a trend?Well there's lack of experience in the cockpit with captains who are on reserve for a year plus.
While street captains have been a thing in the past at other carriers, I don't think it would pop up here...unless things got really desperate.truth. Not specific to compass, but once regional upgrades start getting real quick is there a risk of street captains? Has that been a trend?

There's plenty of senior FO's with the time waiting to upgrade. Some just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I fly with them all the time. Biggest comment "I wanted to be senior this summer."
I don't think they'll have any issues. Many of these above guys will upgrade right into 50-60% seniority.
Ahh, interesting. I know of one guy that *thought* he was going to slide into the 50-60 range. He was #3 or 4 I think? A good chunk of us are leaving in October/Nov so that'll free up some space at least. I think the company underestimated the attrition numbers by just a bit. That's not true anymore. There are a handful of senior FO's in MSP waiting, but that's not the case in LA. In my new hire class from 2/15, those guys are slated to go to upgrade this month and took the first upgrade they could. They were also bidding top 8 or so in LA on the FO side. They'll slide into about 80%+ out in LA. The 50%-60% ain't happening anymore.
Where you guys goin?Ahh, interesting. I know of one guy that *thought* he was going to slide into the 50-60 range. He was #3 or 4 I think? A good chunk of us are leaving in October/Nov so that'll free up some space at least. I think the company underestimated the attrition numbers by just a bit.
A handful to UAL. It's been a 4-5 month wait.Where you guys goin?
4-5 month wait? cry me a river. try 8.5 monthsA handful to UAL. It's been a 4-5 month wait.
What numerical value would you assign to "a good chunk" and "a handful"?USN88 said:A handful to UAL.

I wasn't implying that it was long, but rather that the guys headed to UAL have been swimming about that long and 5-7 will leave within 2 weeks of each other.4-5 month wait? cry me a river. try 8.5 months
