As long as I can run the PTK base.
I think the hope of the pilot group is to have multiple airports encompass the domicile, with trips starting and ending in PTK, ARB and DET for the sports charters.

Not sure, just what I heard.
What IS true, is that Skywest and Compass are going to be doing a slot swap between DTW and LAX. With Skywest being a primarily west coast airline, and Compass wanting to return to its midwest roots, the company's were able to work with the DOT to make this happen. Personally, I'm looking forward to all the Buffalo overnights coming back.
Expect an announcement to happen in 6-8 weeks, I heard it straight from a check airman after their last meeting.
The slot swap isn't one for one though, CPZ is losing out on some... :/
Guess that's where the 11 United airframes come in.
ahh ok. So not really a gain either though.
So if CPZ is swapping LA and shrinking SEA, SKYW might be a better choice if one wishes to stay left coast based?
@ClarkGriswold
I wouldn't make any decisions like that based off unsubstantiated internet rumor. Bases can and do change frequently at Compass.. and all airlines.
I totally agree, but it seems like everyday someone I know working at a different shop gives me some sort of "rumor". When you have nothing else to go off of, sometimes it's hard to ignore the noise. Also things change so frequently at this level it is hard to know if you have made the best decision.
This is truth. Honestly I've lost track of how many rumors I've heard sourced to credible sources. One or two of them have panned out...the rest just fizzle into oblivion.You'll only know if you made the best decision after you're gone.
It isn't worth listening to any of the noise. Seriously.
When you have nothing else to go off of you pick the airline you think you'll fit in best at and enjoying working at the most. CP isn't swapping LAX and doubtful will pull out of SEA. Keep in mind Skywests SEA base is extremely senior.I totally agree, but it seems like everyday someone I know working at a different shop gives me some sort of "rumor". Not anymore.Keep in mind Skywests SEA base is extremely senior.
Ok well I guess not anymore but I still think go with who you like more.Not anymore.

How long to get it now?
I talked to the SKYW recruiter at the northwest aviation conference and they showed me the numbers on reserve time and how long to get a base. Seattle was 6-9 months. But that might have changed.
