Life at Compass

And until they provide relief from the language not permitting us from dropping the brake until ready to push, our D0 will continue to absolutely suck.

Is this seriously followed on the line at CP? At my previous carrier this was also a rule, but very few people followed it.

I literally just finished Captain OE. Of the 12 legs that I did, at least five of them could've left on time if I had dropped the brake when the door closed. This represents over three quarters of my late legs on OE.
As to whether or not it's followed, I obviously had to with a check airman in the right seat. As far as the line, I think some guys follow it because it's new and they think they have to, others follow it just to spite the company...which I can't blame them for. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to do things quite by the book as it pertains to that, but we'll see.

Well they do have to, it's our policy.
You haven't had to have the phone call yet from the CPs about being late or why Delta reported to them that you blocked out but were pissed that you were still at the gate 10+ Mins later. The last one hasn't happened to me personally but I know it has to others.
