JetBlue A321

EG&G is the only 736 operator in the US I believe. The A318 is going bye at Frontier which is good because its an ugly, stubby ass little airplane.
Already gone bye-bye. 2 or 3 months ago, Frontier flew the last one DEN-PHX then it went straight from PHX to storage somewhere to be parted out. I thought they were cool looking, here in the states I had only seen Frontier and Mexicana 318s but in FRA I saw a bunch. Not sure why they work over there but not over here.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I don't know a pilot alive that sees the -900 as a viable 757 replacement.

I flew the -200 and felt like I was an afterthought sitting in an A/V closet. With the NG's being smaller:

"Ungh..." No "nah nah nunaaaah"

The 757 replacement is the 787-800 which performs A LOT better than the 757.

I thought they went to KTUS. I know there are Allegiant MD-80s being stored there, along with SWA 737s being parted out and others.

I don't know where it ended up after PHX, all I know is that was the last revenue flight. It very well could have ferried over to TUS out of PHX. Though when I was there in late August I didn't see one.

Wanna explain?

The 787-800 is a truer replacement for the 757-200 than the 737-900
The 787-900 will be a replacement for the 767-300
The 787-1000 will be a replacement for the 747-400.

The performance numbers don't match up exactly, but the 787 series will outperform their respective 757/767/747 series counterpart.

Take a look at the 757-200 and how it was being used a lot in the past few years by US Airlines to do 'thinner' international routes. The 787-800 can do those and hold about 70 more folks while burning less fuel (I think, @Minuteman you have the numbers?) than the 757-200.

Okay. I read that wrong. I read your original post as 737-800. In which I'll agree. In reference to the 787. But the 787-8 is equivalent to the 762. I think the problem with the 787-8 is that when the 789, goes into service order numbers for the 787-8 will drop significantly. The 787-9 is the super star of that family.

I haven't been here long enough to see everything, but what i have noticed is guys here (well within their rights to do so) want to land with around at least 10k of fuel vs my last place which was more like 5 or 6k. I've also noticed single-engine taxi isn't in many peoples vocabulary either.

I read this a few times.

All I can say is WHAT???????

Is that a typo?

So what's the 1000 model being aimed at?
Maybe it was the -1000 then, though I thought that was even bigger. I'm honestly so bored by these new carbon fiber types that I don't even have the designations down. I feel sorry for my kids down the road knowing I'll take them to watch airplanes at a big airport and tell them "You know, there used to be more than 6 airlines, more than 5 types of airliners flying around, and they used to make noise".
