JC Cyclists.

My buddy is making pretty radical hard tail bikes. He has a cool blog here:

He has some cool stuff! Love that little dirt jumper/flow bike. Seems like an intelligent chap, see if he wants to design a wireless dropper post :) Magura has the only version right now and l'm looking forward to 2.0 or other offerings. Cables and droppers go together like oil & water.

Here is a good review/article on the Cutthroat for what it can do, hoping to get a few overnights in this year...

He made that bike for the flow trail I proposed and help build. We run a chainless race there every summer.

Check out the new post from DVO the Garnet. Doesn't get rid of cables but it has amazing customer support.

Uggh, quite reminiscent of Boulder. A few years ago we asked for about 1% of the trails on the west side of town. You would have thought we were asking for to install a chemical/nuclear/VX gas/puppy chopping up plant. We lost, but will be back.

Growing up in a family that did a lot of cycling for recreation and transportation, it was a bit of a shock to go out in the rest of the world and learn how much hatred there is upward from pedestrians/hikers and downward from motorists.

GTFO of my way when you can't go anywhere near the speed limit and we won't have any problems. :-D

Fine, I'll pull a double back flip on the Yeti if it helps - might be a once in a lifetime thing though...

Speaking of amazing bikes, you hear that Diamondback lifted the VPP design now that the patent has run out?

Santa Cruz calls it a Bronson, Diamondback calls it a Release. Frankly I can't tell the difference.

Indeed, that's the bike my homey Porter rides for DB if you are looking for a new one go for it. He loves his and that just isn't the sponsorship talking. He lives just south of Park City and has one of the raddest backyards ever, we should go over there at some point when I'm around. Hoping for a road trip this year and bringing the dirt jumper to scare myself at his place.

Word, let me know when you come out and we'll ride. We're just starting to get the summer gear prepped right now and the hype is real. We're planning on introducing my older daughter to rock climbing this summer, and she's moving off the strider and on to a BMX bike this summer. No training wheels, no coaster brake; free hub and rim brake on the back.

She'll either rip or break her arm. Either way she's going to love it.

Can anyone recommend some good trails out in Phoenix? I'm not really looking for anything extreme, just want to get back to riding since I got some extra time on my hands.
