JC Cyclists.

Anyone have suggestions for a heart rate monitor? I'm using the mapmyride app and would love to start tracking that along with my splits etc. I've found some Polar and Wahoo for around 60 dollars but figured I'd get some feedback here.

I use Garmin 910XT, it's a little older (cheaper!) but does everything you could possibly need.

I guess it's time for me to join the party. I've been saving up for this beauty for years, finally got it a couple weeks ago. Still testing out different saddles and sent it in to the shop today to get a few tweaks made, so she's not quite finished yet, but man, I'm already in love!

4200+ feet, not bad for an early season afternoon ride. Although I was actually a little sad to see my top speed was only 41 mph. I was thinking I'd hit at least 45 or even 50. I was trying to outrun a school bus

Kick ass! Great climb, I did that one a couple times over the summer and it is intense. Nice bike too, I have two cannondales (slice and supersix evo) and they're brilliant!

Starting the annual 200+ mile charity ride for the young survivor coalition today!

Pink sleeves are all cancer survivors.

Mine was all set up for fishing when my cart broke. The cart has hooks for two rods and, in trial runs, it could carry 80 # of mulch. Its the training wheel that fell off. I recovered the wheel but had to replace to bolt. Should I weld it back on?

Its a tank but I'm attached to it.

I get anywhere from 25 to 150 miles in per week.

Sweet is it a CX bike or a "gravel grinder"?

I should post pics of my new HT. Kind of forgot about this thread.

Kind of a super all-arounder more than anything else I guess. It is technically a mtb frame with drop bars and was built for the Tour Divide race in mind. So bikepacking, gravel, race this or that, chill road rides when the trails are muddy, etc. Yep, gonna be a sweet machine! Have a couple of good loops picked out with a fair amount of gravel/dirt roads/pavement to play on.

Let's see that new HT!

Redefining what a hardtail can do

I'm not a hardcore rider like you guys are but I can totally see how buying/building bikes could become an addiction.

It can get out of control and it is fun to build up new projects. Throughout the years I've had the good fortune of rarely paying retail for anything bike related so that has been quite helpful otherwise I might be broke & divorced. Well, broke at least since we met through bike racing and her addiction is equal to mine :)

Building bikes has a lot of what I like about working on airplanes, without the cost or space requirement.

Dude that is rad! Looks playful for sure. Just be sure to cut that steer tube ;)

Haha yeah the fork can be set up to 170mm and I am still debating putting it on my bigger enduro. Might have to cut it soon though. I think it will stay a 150 hardtail monster.
