Hello
First off, I apologize if this is the wrong forum or place to post this.
As of now I have no flight experience, but I'm very interested in getting my private pilot license. Unfortunately I probably don't have the best medical history for flying.
I've dealt with vasovagal syncope (fainting) for most of my life. It was more common when I was younger (around 10 years old), but not as much now (currently 20). In the past 5 years I believe I've had 3 episodes. The last was about a year ago while getting blood drawn. It seems to be triggered by severe pain or sight of blood/gore. It's not like I randomly faint. I've had all the tests done and according to doctors it is vesovagal, not a cardiac condition.
I guess my question is: would getting my license even be a possibility?
And would my first step be to see an AME?
Thanks!
