So that is where it comes from! I was wondering why you had such a bad attitude towards DCA. ( before dirty dickie's posts, that is!)
I was told the same story by a Delta Captain that had retired and dove with me on Bikini. He actually recommended then "Comair Aviation Academy". But rather than believing his stories I did my homework at the time and looked for other options. In the end the academy was chosen for different reasons and it has worked for me quite well.
I agree fully with you that people must make an informed decision when choosing a flight school, specially DCA given the amount of the investment. And when that decision is made they must understand the level of commitment required to finish the program within the timeframe and budget. I have seen people finish the program within budget and in as little as 7 months ( the student phase). And at the same time I know people that are over 100k in debt and close to the 18 months time limit to complete. It depends a lot on commitment and motivation.
I have been pretty busy lately teaching multi and getting my E.O.C. chekride with the FAA ( for those wondering it is the Stage Chcek Pilot's End Of Course qualification ride , and before Mike gets that JDAM locked on me, I passed...)
So I understand your friend is flying beech 1900's now?

aw christ, Nixon good to see you here. This ladies and gentleman is probably the most worthless addition to the academy since their president Susan. The last thing I wanted to resort to was a personal attack, but hell, I honestly cant think of a bigger waste of oxygen. I have sat in many a meetings with him briefing...I would usually profess that DCA has fairly good training, but this guy certainly didnt have seconds. As for us "tards" hell yeah were not gonna raise our heads! Thats how they get squashed! Im not about to be fired when I cant eat already, but if you are questioning my ability to stand up for myself, your barking up the wrong tree pal. BTW, Phil, Fabio, you are good guys and I have no problems with ya, but you have to admit that the position you are in requires a bit of "right place right time".
My only reason for posting here was to let prospective students know how it was here, and that you could easily train elsewhere, spend much less time to get to an airline, much less money, and have much more fun doing it. Anyone who argues that fact is either a lier or a fool.

This is getting pretty good...If you guys take your personal attacks to another forum make sure you let us know where! I think it would be more fun (and profitable) if you set up a boxing ring at the academy.....maybe you can talk Tim or Al out of some hanger space on the weekends. I'd have to put my money on Nixon though...especially if he dresses up like he did at the halloween party
