Info about DCA from an employee

you may be right, I guess I just assumed that since its in no manual or memo identifying it as a punnishable offense, someone wouldnt be suspended from all work because of it. And I think there is a very close relationship between ones knowledge level and his skill is a pilot, for as you know, aviation is multi faceted. Thus ones skill is determined by many factors. On another note, I didnt mean to detrack from the first post I made. Id just like for everyone to know the pros and cons of this academy, and since the pros...or lack thereof, were already established, its necessary to cite the bad side. And I think ive about done that, though as you also know, it stems much deeper.

BORING!!!!!!!

Let's get back to sleeping with students!

Just kidding......carry on!

Erin Durden decided to finally leave, Loren Herren is leaving Sanford, and Chris I believe is leaving? No need to get all defensive, im just wondering why they decided to leave at the same time? Hell I even heard O'brian wish Bill good luck on his interview, I dont know what hes got planned...

Durden and Chris are headed to the airlines. Loren took the Base manager job in New Bedford, so he's leaving here, but he's staying with the company....

Well at least there is no guessing who I am av8tard's. Catchy screen names by the way. I in no way speak for Delta Connection Academy but these are my thoughts on the subjects.
First off, everybody is tough sitting behind their puters. Funny your probably one of the quiet guys at work but I guess no one will ever know oh dark saint of the net! Get a life and quit yapping. If it sucks so bad quit and make your new life goal something worthwhile.

In the sounds of the ever living drunken Vulcher, Big D baby! you know what I'm talking about, ca ca!!!

Or start a DCA Fight Club at Sanford......

DON'T TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!!!!

By the way Nixon, if you care to know who the mystery employee is, you could narrow it down to 135 hours in the inst. group, started around November, might have been on the hurvac, friends with the instructor that was let go, etc. etc.

I haven't really cared enought to do all the legwork because it dosen't really matter...

Ah, hell yea. Take out some anger.

Lets face it, DCA might not be the best place to work longterm, but you came here I am guessing for the same reason I did, not you Mike - the av8tard's, to get a job within a reasonable amount of time. To date I have been at the academy as a student/employee since November 2002. I plan on being out of here by Nov. 2005, so three years, 0 time to right seat of something, yea I would say the program works. Do I wish the time came faster, yea, do I think that some of the things they do are wacky, yea, but you know what, if you play their game for a couple years, they will get you an interview at a multitude of places. I am not defending the academy, I am telling you to act like a roman. I know it is a vague reference. A bad situation is made worse by bickering dickheads like you tards. This place would be a lot better without all of the sinicism and constant b!tcing.

"0 time to right seat of something, yea I would say the program works."

I've got a buddy who just got an upgrade bid for left seat in a Beech 99 who three years ago was in college with a private license. Nothing wrong with doing DCA if that's what floats your boat but other "programs" work just as well, if not better. The reason I keep bring it up is not to convince anyone at DCA, cause I know they could care less, and that's fine. It's for any wannbes that make it this far in the thread who might be thinkin' that the DCA way is the ONLY way, like their marketing wants you to believe.

Well congratulations you still sound like a record player being worked by the 'tards. Yea we get it, DCA marketing sucks and yea, amazingly enough it is not the only way to get a job! Shut up already.

post #4 and already telling a senior guy to shut up? that's not too smart, IMO...

I only give one warning before bringing the head honcho into it (that's IF i catch it before the other mods do).

so, keep it civil and knock off the personal attacks.

"Yea we get it, DCA marketing sucks and yea, amazingly enough it is not the only way to get a job!"

Yeah, I know YOU get it. What bothers me is when I talk to some kid about aviation careers and tell him how me and all my friends did it. Then, he tells me he justs wants to be an airline pilot and there is this place in Florida owned by Delta Airlines that's the best cause no other school is owned by a major airline. They guarantee you an interview (read job) flying jets if you do your training there. You know, those Delta pilots make 200K a year.

A true story.

So...I've made it my personal little goal to make sure as many wannabes as possible get to know all their options before they put down their money. Thank goodness for jetcareers.

And no...I'm not going to shut up. But feel free to put me on your ignore list.

Man.....the south central this part of the forum is never ceases.......have to step up the patrols again.

I don't know, though........arguing with an airline pilot about getting to where he already is, the whole "been there, done that" gig, I don't know if I'd poo-poo what he's saying.

Sort of like the guys that telll me my info about the plane I fly daily is inaccurate, when they've been (and likely won't be) anywhere near the type.......other than at an airshow........

Yea well it may not be smart but it had to be said. The same things being said out of the same people on a repetitive basis gets annoying.
