Yea free beer and food should be enticing. I have to admit, I’ve flown with captains who said this but sometimes after a long day, I just want to mindlessly be in my hotel room and do nothing. Have you tried doing the free candy van?!

There were some guys on the widebodies that would invite the ENTIRE crew out... like 15-plus.
I got suckered into that a few times and then he basically volunteer he pilots up for “we’ll get all the wine” and between ten different payment methods, most forgetting about tax and tip my 12 Euro Salade Lyonnaise would become about 80 Euro.

Yea, that system is ripe for abuse. I have a strong dislike paying for someone else's attempts to be a BMOC.

Gulfstream pilot here. We hangout with our flight attendants and go out nightly. Our’s are paid well and we all have a blast. Different world in the Gulfstreams though. Its kinda like how the airlines use to be before corporate got to them.

I do miss my Gulfstream and our FA's. I don't miss Russia or Russian pilots.

Dude, the jumpseat war posts are more entertaining than a Game of Thrones marathon.
Especially last season! Can’t believe I had a party every Sunday for that season what a waste.

I suspect it'll be over by the close of business Friday, one way or the other.
I do enjoy seeing everyone (yeah, including mainline pilots) on their worst behavior on an issue that just doesn't actually matter either. This affects what, maybe one or two pilots a day? And this is the reaction it gets? Imagine the reaction an issue that affected all however many thousands would get...oh, right.
