Furlough tracking

My Christmas present to all those furloughed is a bit of advice.

Don't go work for a dirtbag operator, because they earned that reputation for a reason.

You mean like Comair and Mesaba? I don't think it's restricted to the dirtbag operators. I mean, Pinnacle hasn't furloughed yet, but CMR, XJ, XJT and ASA all have tons of guys on the street. And apparently, XJ got another furlough notice the day before Thanksgiving.

RAH has confirmed with the union that they are going to recall 96 of the 104 remaining furloughs over the next 6 months. I don't know if actual certified letters have been sent yet, but some people have been emailed about a December 28th class.

My advice to you is to get off your high horse-- or is it a requirement that most regional pilots have someone to look down upon? Does it keep you from thinking too much about your own situation? Does the idea that somewhere exists that have worse working conditions and or pay than you make you forget what you are? Underpaid outsourced pilots should be very careful where they aim the stones they throw.

I'm furloughed, and yes, you know I was talking about Mesa and noone else.

Every regional is the same, with the except Mesa and GoJets. One WAS a gamble for a quick upgrade or move on to Skywest, and the other IS a career killer.

Enjoy being furloughed because I know I am, ;)

Does that include Midwest and/or Frontier?

I believe that the Frontier guys will be getting recalled as well. As for the Midwest guys unfortunately they have to wait until the integration is complete as they have no planes to fly and per both the RAH and F9 contracts all flying has to be done by pilots on their respective seniority lists. This sucks and hopefully the guys at Midwest that still want to come back will be back in the next few months.

Good luck...

Or, hopefully they're back to flying mainline metal over at AirTran for substantially more than what they would if they were "recalled" to RAH.

I need a furlough from being furloughed.

It would be sweet.
Maybe making less posts like this:

And someone would try to help you with that problem.
With an attitude that you have displayed in numerous threads you would be last I'd help get a job right after "Butt".

Cause you know Netjets is a real dirtbag operator. Morons who went there :banghead:

:sarcasm:
That's not who I was talking about.....

When did they become a dirtbag operator?

.....or was the sarcasm the whole post and not just the "morons who went there" part?

You just don't like me because I've been in the gang that has called you out on shenanigans elsewhere.

I really don't think you are in any position right now to help me get a job anyhow that I would be interested if my information is correct.

It is really amusing when some individual, impotent to do anything anyways, threatens another when it comes to the job search.

You stay classy, :rotfl:

By the way, who is "butt" is that some inside joke I should be in on to appreciate your constructive and helpful post? Or maybe you meant to use a word that is prohibited. I have no clue, nappy time.

Tomorrow is another day of killing Hajis on MW2.

I was agreeing with you but I guess I needed to word that better.

You're right I probably couldn't help anyone anyways....cheers.

That's impressive. Even I didn't know what I was talking about.

Congrats on the new gig a birdie told me about*!

*I hate and don't understand that saying, but....eh...there ya go.

I just have a BAAAD feeling about that whole thing. If all the RAH guys are recalled, and THEN the Midwest guys are recalled without having the seniority list issues fixed, I could totally see RAH management offering them right seat in a 175 or a 50 seater, take it or leave it.

Oh I have little doubt about that.

Let's hope there is some movement this year so those guys can at least continue the end of their career at a pay level they were accustomed to.

That said, enough commentary. :)
