Furlough tracking

Horizon is now only going to furlough 7...yes 7 pilots instead of the 12 they were going to. This goes right along with this little gem from our VP of Flight Ops:

"As we proceed into this next phase, one thing that will not change is our commitment to the process of obtaining a new agreement that will position our company, including our pilots, for future growth and success. I would like nothing more than to bring our 96 furloughed pilots back to work and get our 56 downgraded captains back into the left seat. To be able to do that and avoid any further erosion, we must find a way to arrive at a competitive cost structure."

Where's the news that all RAH pilots have been recalled? :) Seems like APC under RAH has zero pilots furloughed as does AWAC.....

All pilots at Atlas were recalled this week.

There are still 10 PFEs on furlough.

03/22/2010

Today Comair Mgmt. has notified ALPA of their intention to recall up to 23 pilots.

Comair 04/12/2010

As of today and the last round of recalls, Comair received 35 of the 40 responses. The breakdown of responses is as follows:

18 accept recall
13 voluntary bypasses
4 resignations
5 unknown responses

Based on the numbers above Comair has elected to recall 12 more pilots as part of this recall process.

I figured that it was normal industry wide to "bypass or recall" down the list, then a "take it or resign" coming back up.

That would explain it.

Looks like were about 159 deep in furloughs counting voluntaries at XJ with no good news for the future...
