Furlough Estimates

There’s quite a big difference between a peaceful armed protest at a state government site for constitutional violations. That is NOT the same as protesting armed at your own workplace because you don’t like the pay and working conditions. That’s voluntary. Don’t like your job? Get your union to do something, volunteer, etc, or Quit. Stay at home orders and shutdowns are not voluntary. Big difference. It’s not the same thing.

And if they marched on the state capital because they wanted to gather for a Muslim festival? You really think that would go over well?

Along those lines.....The Cedar-Riverside neighborhood in Mpls has started broadcasting the call to prayer. If you know the area you can see why. Really hasnt been much of an issue.

PSA is parking the remaining 19 CRJ200s. Coincides with DCA shutting down operations at the world. End of an era for both.

PSA now has 2000+ pilots and less than 130 airplanes. Unless something changes before the fall, I think we all know what will happen.

130 total by math on other forums. But some are parked, in MX, etc.

Bro we're all stressed out.

I'm responding to Jtrain because I don't want to point my finger at any individuals (and he knows that I know he's a hack anyway) but...

All the ALPA carriers (and I'd guess the bigger non affiliated unions like APA and SWAPA) have made counseling services available to their pilots. Understand the difference between the options offered by the company to all employees and the ones offered specifically by the union and then go talk to somebody. This is a stressful time, whether it's your first aviation industry downturn or your 4th, there is no shame in getting a little emotional help.

We are all in the seat we are currently in due to our choices, planning and luck (and according to some of the guys I fly with the color of our skin and the size of our boobs... but I digress). There is nothing we can do about where we are right now. All we can do is prepare for what might happen going forward.
