Only AA has said it publicly.

Not sure how it is posturing. There are a lot of places, mostly in rural states, that have no demand right now. Why should airlines be flying there in this environment unless paid for by the government?

Yeah but that money is for me!

My old roofing boss used to say, "dammit i paid taxes for that unemployment, im gonna use it all winter!" Very conservative.

How many mil guys are arch conservative with their gubbmint tricare, thrift savings plan, their government paycheck check and retirement? *Shrug* theres more to political positioning than hands feeding ya sometimes.

The dissonance is even better at a non-union shop, when AFA and ALPA have been beating down the Capitol doors for this.

Most people don't really understand what re I represent's welfare. I've had this argument a ton in the past.

A farmer given subsidies by the government because a late winter caused the crops not to produce as much or crops were killed by an early frost is welfare.

An economic downturn causes the banking industry to turn to poo and the government has to step in and prop them up is welfare.

My colloge pell grants is welfare.

Ultra low VA loans is welfare.

Free flu shot? Welfare

Very few people can say that they've never benefitted from welfare.

I mean, when you're unemployed welfare is part of your citizen benefit package. It was just an example of republicans inside the fold of government benefits like pilots do and I assume we are going to put trailer park trash in there too. Politics isnt nessissarily defined by where ur fed.
