Furlough Estimates

That’s my guess
From my completely uneducated guess I think it won’t be OO operating any 550’s. CC said they really don’t have any interest in them, also the main sell on them were the premium seats which aren’t being utilized as much these days.

I dont know either way, how bout some bbq...all the news coming our today sucks.

Folks............you can keep on keeping on, but for God's sake don't. Be prepared. I'm serious. Everyone believes and hopes they are immune. You're not.

I've had a number of pms with another member starting a few weeks back. What I had predicted back then has already begun. Don't hold back and wait to see how it all shakes out. You'll be sorry if you do. I'm no Svengali. But, I have been through this before. What I just pmed to my friend is this:

As I wrote early on, these are the tactics. First scream for help. Then wait for the Feds to step in and throw money at you. Then pretend you are doing everything possible to avoid furloughs. Ask employees to take an unpaid leave. Offer early outs for the most senior and the highest paid pilots and other employees. Fight with the unions, lie to the unions and lie to the employees. They never, ever show the cards in their hand, just what they decide to feed you face up on the table. So now, the concessions have already started. There will be more. This is only the beginning.

They will furlough more than they promise. Bankruptcy is around the corner along with carrier mergers, and the death of some of the Regionals.

On a serious note, if anyone needs to talk or feeling down hit me up. I'm a normal dude, like sports. Video games. I'm in the same shoes, about to lose my dream job for who knows how long. We will get through this and there will be better days. Never hesitate to call, text or message me here. We're all in this together!

The Alaska airlines subforum on APC has so much more kindling for their dumpster fires of merger threads now. So many line pilots have all the financials figured out already.

Oh yeah, menage-a-AA/Alaska/jetBlue. Heard it on the jumpseat of a Super 80 in 2012 when AA was in bankruptcy protection. The Paperwork was already drawn up, ready to be signed. Plus there's a current thread on it at APC. I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.

It's been pretty quiet. At least the idiot that was saying our MEC was lying to us STFU for a bit. I'm afraid he'll be sharing more doom and gloom soon enough.
