What are your thoughts on Traegers?
I used the living hell out of mine and went through two motors, then i finally broke a harness or got a short somewhere. The traegers do a nice job, accounts vary, but your not gonna get bark like you would on an open fire one. Thats not a bad thing for some people its just different.

Buy it on sale, youll probably love it forever.

When you aren’t getting bark what kind of meats are you smoking? Are you wrapping? Pellet smokers often win the ribs at bbq competitions.

I get a good bark on my briskets on one, but never wrap when using the pellet.

I mean, what I get on the stick burner was the first time I ever confidently said the word bark. I don't do a ton of brisket and I don't think mine come out very good even on the traeger, I don't tour bbq competetions so idk.

Never did the crutch on brisket until the stick burner and I'm still not happy with the outcome. I don't think the pellet smokers taste as good as the wood burning type and I use the traeger pellets. I may also love the wood taste more than most, I've been accused of that in the past. I don't think pellet burners are bad, I just like the burner i got now.
