Free in-house Delta Pilot Job Fair

@Derg, Doug thank you for posting the open house dates. I know I've benefited extensively from the experience and feedback posted to the forum, along with a few laughs as a bonus. If I was anywhere near meeting the minimums I'd attend in a heartbeat.

I appreciate your dedication to helping your fellow aviators succeed.

That would be an amazing idea.

Lemme just finish off my breakfast!

How have I worked for a major ATL-based carrier and never knew this! it always looks closed when getting a Gyro? Are you going to join?

Grecian Gyro is pretty damn amazing as well, for a spinning meat log.

Sadly I'll be back in Iraq, but hopefully will be back in the States (N GA mountains) the last 3 weeks of January.

Enjoying a Bockbier in Dresden right now.

Thank you Doug from posting this.

I for one I'm static to hear this news, I have been trying to land an interview at Delta for the past few years and I think this is a great opportunity and like you said, it is FREE. People will never be happy. I think people expect to fill out the app and automatically get the job.

If you go to the open house, I wouldn't be static. I'd move around a bit.

Glad to see the majors are doing this now, hopefully more airlines will start doing this in the future.

I'm curious to see how DL will handle the massive amount of people that want to go to this. Tha fact that the video has been viewed almost 50k times and almost 500 shares makes me think it's going to be a mad house. Haha!

Now that I finally got a chance to view the video....

@Hacker15e has a valid point, however:

The fact that Delta is stepping up and hosting a job fair is a huge step. No money has to be spent with a 3rd party (sorry @Aero Crew Solutions :P), all you have to do is show up, prepared to tell Delta about a time you were qualified to fly their jetz. I hope everyone who sees the video and/or this post takes this incredible opportunity to showcase why they are Delta material.

If I were even remotely qualified, I would be on this like a hawk. Thanks for posting. I hope that DAL will still hold recruitment events of this ilk when I am.

You might be closer than you think. I was surprised to see that all I'm lacking is about 700 hrs fixed wing turbine time.

@mastermags - Thank you. Seriously. It's very helpful and the wind in my sail to hear that.

Admittedly, I do glance at the home weather station and see that it's quite nice outside, high clouds, light breeze and think, "Here I thought I was solving a problem (high cost of job fairs), helping people by giving them a peek over the castle wall" because no one else on the aviation internet is doing it and begged the powers that be to let me basically pre-announce it on Jetcareers to give our community a 'head start' on bidding and making arrangements to get there…

89 degrees outside. Light breeze. High clouds. Windchimes…

Some in our community are going to walk away with an interview date and become new employees, I can absolutely guarantee that. Some are just going to be on the internet, frustrated.

I would be friendless, single, and probably still at a regional (if even that) without this place.

Seriously.

@Derg , I think most of us appreciate this; don't let a vocal minority overshadow the rest of us.
Thank you!
And also a JC meet would be awesome
