flight attendents

What kinda question is that?! How old are you?

are you asking if they date and get married...yes, some do...just like you would if you met someone cool at the grocery store, online, in a parking lot or at a 9-5 desk job.

are you asking if there's a lot of "one night layovers"... i presume there are, probably mostly with the single folks just like anywhere else

are you asking if they hook up outside the marriage?! yes, some do that too...and they eventually end up paying for it...just like with anyone else (it's NO different)

It's kinda hard to figure out if your asking whether they "date" or not....

Do you see being a pilot being *that* different from any other job with job related interactions between male/female?

I know a lot of single pilots and single flight attendants that hook up...it's what most call "a date" but if your asking about one night stands during layovers, I'm sure they do happen just like they do anywhere else in the world and i'd worry about 4 things...

1) STD
2) Pregnancy
3) Sexual Harassment (in the workplace)
4) Gossip

Guys/gals...I think beetle, is trollish in nature. I *believe* that his last thread was also bout' flight attendants.

Of the male variety and how they're all mostly gay, do a forum search.

Max, I'm not seeing that... i'm seeing "inquisitive" in nature (via posts) and a college student who just may not know the answer to such a question.

Nothing wrong with inquisitive, as i see...and if we teach him right, when he gets out into the "real" world, he'll know what to expect and how to act.

Eh, I did say *I think*. Either way he obviously has some sort of fasination with flight attendants.

Not there is anything wrong with that. Also, maybe I should reserve judgement to the last.

But word of advice beetle, vague post to me containing few words, seem eerily fishy.

Again, however I do apologize.

Most F/As these days are married or single mothers. Very few have the time or inclination to "hook up" with pilots unless they are husband hunting.

Do pilots hook up with flight attendents?

Most flight attendant policies require them to bed at least three pilots, two of which must be captains, within their first probationary year. Also, their number of sick calls cannot exceed their total number of pilot encounters. This little known rule is seldom discussed in public forums.

It's information like this that enables and encourages some "I'm thinking of quitting" student pilots to continue their studies.

See, this is a good argument for single-pilot freight. Because you can only sexually harass...

...yourself.

:D

And it ain't harassment if you like it.:D

As for the question, is there hanky panky going on?

Uh, duh, it's a workplace.

Combine available men and available women and sometimes, there's a little spark. And sometimes, people take that spark and run with it.

That's going to happen in any workplace.

Beetle... haha funny word.

I am sure there is some sexin between some of the people who fly and some of the people who don't.

Weird question though.

:yeahthat:

Of course it happens. It happens everywhere, in every line of work. Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT happen as often as everyone outside of the airlines believes.

Exactly! I had a similar conversation yesterday. I was having breakfast yesterday morning at my hotel, and sitting next to me was a female FO for Air Tran, who was a former flight attendant before she became a pilot. Because the service was incredibly slow, we started chatting about all kinds of things. The Blue Angels were eating at the table next to us, so of course we started talking about studmuffins, and then segued somehow into pilot/FA one-nighters.
She had just ended an 11-year relationship with another pilot, and no, he wasn't cheating with another FA. He was cheating with their friend, right in their hometown. The female pilot and I agreed that probably 'back in the day" more of that pilot/FA hanky-panky occurred than it does now. BTW guys, she was gorgeous and smart, (as well as available).;) Nice gal too. I enjoyed chatting with her.

As per the young man's question. I'm sure that pilots/FA's do "hook up", but probably not as frequently as many think. Many of them are just too tired on their overnights, some are afraid of "dipping their pen in the company ink" because if it doesn't work out, it can make a pilot's life really nasty.
(Velo, what was that you were telling me about Visine in the coffee?) ;)

People can hook up anywhere, at any work place. When I travel for work to business conferences, etc., I have way more opportunities to hook up with my fellow business travelers, or a colleague, than I do pilots. Almost ALL business conferences have dinners (with lots of alcohol) that you must attend. Combine those two together and you can have all kinds of hanky-panky if you want that!

Sounds like someone's trying to justify $100k in flight school loans.
ya know.. you can get tail anywhere....where's the justification in spending 100K for that?? shoot, i'd save that cash and get a hottie car cuz you know that brings the girlies out :p
