LOL!! Oh, I've known more than a few gay men in different jobs I've had, but I've NEVER had a close, gay male friend. I've always had straight men among my very dearest and closest friends, though. ;)

Well you should add a gay male friend to be amongst "your very dearest and closest friends"! I get the best advice from them when we're out. They tell me when I dress too conservative, and when, and who, I should "strut my stuff" with, etc.

Sample conversation:

Gay male friend: "B, don't bother batting your baby blues at that one, he bats for my team"

B: "Do you think I should wear this?"

Gay Male Friend: "Honey, you're not going to a church. Sex it up!"

Gay Male Friend: "Girl, you should go for that! His eyes have been stuck on you like bees to honey."

Ya see P, they fill me in on all of the things that a dork like myself doesn't notice when we're out.

You can also ask them for advice on men. They may be gay, but they're still male! :D

Kristie and I can loan you our Nigerian! ;)

Hey, thanks! ;)

I thought that's what female friends are for? Unless, of course, you happen to have the same taste in men....Then, no one's giving ANYONE advice! :D :p

Well obviously female friends have no clue as to what it's like to be of the male species, that's why gay male friends can be very helpful that way! When it comes to men, I'm a big dork, so I can use all of the advice I can get! I was married for so long that I'm out of practice at playing the dating game!

Sex, food and football. Thats all you need to know. :D;):sarcasm:

I know that part already, as I am the mother only of male offspring, and I was the only female in my house (other than my dog) for 25 years.

I have to say though, that I still haven't figured those male people out yet. For example, the toilet seat question remains a big mystery to me.

Speaking of gay males, while commuting home from ATL, a gay F/A saw me, in uniform and gave me two snaps up and a wooooooooooooooooooooo!! The pax in the terminal stopped, looked at me, and I just put my cap down over my head. I was so embarrased.

Most flight attendant policies require them to bed at least three pilots, two of which must be captains, within their first probationary year. Also, their number of sick calls cannot exceed their total number of pilot encounters. This little known rule is seldom discussed in public forums. It's information like this that enables and encourages some "I'm thinking of quitting" student pilots to continue their studies.

Most F/As these days are married or single mothers. Very few have the time or inclination to "hook up" with pilots unless they are husband hunting.

Situation two is the direct result of requirement one???

My two favorite CAs always so willing to share their expertise. ;)
