FedEx Going External

Is a GOC Specialist similar to a UPS assistant dispatcher where you move to dispatch after a certain amount of time? Or does GOC Specialist = dispatch?
 
Nope, you’re done with OJT you’re on the desk. DAL is the peer airline for pay, without union dues. And full pay from day one.
 
Well that was one of the most aggravating applications ive ever had to fill out. I spent some time making a profile and having all my info in and ready to go only for it to ask it all over again in even more detail.
 
Wow. Took down the posting by lunch... Meh. Probably don't want to live in one of the most dangerous towns in the US anyways. Good luck to all of those that were lucky enough to get your application sent in time!

Memphis has it’s less than stellar areas yes, but with the money you make, and the low cost of living here, even in the nicer areas, it’s not bad. A lot of FDX people live in the Collierville or Germantown areas, and those are as upscale as almost any other upscale area in the US.

It’s funny isn’t it that the perception changes when people “read it’s bad” or whatever. Not to be insulting but it’s not like people from United live in Oak Park where you probably have a better chance of being the victim of a violent crime than you do anywhere. Once anyone is at a major, or even middle tier airline for that matter, you can choose to live somewhere actually safe.
