I'm surprised nobody has said anything yet but Endeavor is officially hiring now. This came out just a couple of days ago...

Pilot Hiring
A significant amount of work has been done in preparation for pilot recruiting and placement. Endeavor has already attended a number of job fairs to let pilots and schools know who we are. As expected, our interview and hiring process is being patterned after the Delta process and will include computer based testing followed by a structured panel interview. The testing area is complete and ready to go. We are initiating hiring immediately. As ____ memo indicated, we are now expecting to hire 300-400 pilots over the next 14 months. It’s very exciting news!

Very little has been communicated to the pilot group so far other than this bit so I can't really answer too much about it but there it is.

No upgrade. No growth. Reserve for at least a year. No signing bonus? Lots of luck jackalopes.
At least a year? Uhhh... how about indefinitely until either SSP starts pulling people out of the company or a large portion of FO's get picked up by other carriers. Under the current contract and with the current forecasted future I would not recommend Endeavor/Pinnacle to anyone.

There's so many desperate people though. If Pinnacle lowers its standards enough, I don't think they'll have any more of a problem than any other regional.

thanks for posting though, that part is appreciated!

That's all I was going for. It's a take it or leave it kind of thing. I know there are some people out there looking for work so it is an option. Maybe not the best option but an option nonetheless. Did I mention I'd love to get off reserve?

They will fill a few classes, but I would be surprised if the classes were full after march. Ive been wrong before.

If the pilots are right and they can't fill the class maybe we can get a break onthis damn concessionary piece of crap.

From what I've heard from multiple pilots I know over there, the people being hired now will be furloughed in the not too distant future when the 200's are parked.

Nobody is really sure on that. Daddy D and management aren't giving firm numbers on the final fleet plan. Some think they're trying to give us just a glimmer of hope. Others think it largely depends on what happens with the rate resets and contracts at another very large DCI carrier. Personally I think it just depends on what happens at the other carriers. Our costs are exactly where Delta wants them and the operation has actually been running pretty smoothly so unless someone else willingly or forcefully falls in line I don't see why it would make any sense to take away all of the -200s.

One thing is for sure. There's not really a net loss in hulls under the most recently publicly stated firm plan until about Jan. 2015 and they need about 2,200 bodies or so to staff those hulls for FAR 117. With current attrition hovering around 20-40/month and likely to accelerate they're gonna need to keep hiring for awhile even with -200s being parked. Hopefully they can't find people.

It's possible. We won't know until Delta gets figured out what to do with us. One thing is for sure, this place is far far from the Trenary Triage it used to be. Even Mesaba didn't have operational support like this. Makes me wonder if Comair ran so well, if so then it is no big deal.

Right now Delta is pouring money in to see what a well run regional can be. Will this place make money for Delta when everything is costed out? That's the only question that matters. If we don't my emmergency fund is going to get an exercising.

Our CEO and DO are Delta folks tied to our success. If there is some way to justify our existence these guys will find it. FINALLY the Delta corporate bureaucracy is working for me, not trying to strangle me.

They called me on the 4th for an interview. I have not called them back but may try and go for 121 interview experance.

Just remember, shrinking fleet, continuous reserve, and the pay for a regional is bottom end. Our soft pay is good and the health insurance is ok, but IF there is any good here it will be in the future.

Cool thanks. There is a 0% chance I would take the job unless I'm fired tomorrow. I would like to experience an "airline" interview before I'm interviewing for a job I'm really after. I have only ever seen 135 interviews that are basically a joke due to friends being the interviewers.

Fair enough. Study the Delta gouge to get the most out of it.

I remember being at job fair about two years ago. The line for the Trans States booth...well, wasn't even a line. Barely anyone was talking to TSA. Now TSA has about a what now, one-ish year upgrade?? Though I have no idea what Delta has up their sleeve or what they are willing to do in order to help staff Endeavor, this is the industry of luck, timing, and sudden changes.
