Earbuds in sight of pax?

Better than rocking headphones.
I think it's just a reflection of a generation which is why it may bother you. On the other hand the older 40 crowd often rocks the bluetooth ear piece making people wonder if they are talking to themselves and the phone on a belt clip.
It is precisely the reflection of a generation... unfortunately, a generation becoming less couth with every turn in the gyre... with notable exceptions. Every generation has disaffected, anti-social behavior; the current latest generation just seems to have made it the cultural norm rather than the anomaly. Aided by eating the lotus of "technology", they march lamely to a disconnected borg- all one, separately... and generally so contextually bereft that they lack the awareness that they might have good reason for their disaffection. Stuck in the first and second stages of grief, they can't get to lamenting the loss of a beautiful world trashed by their progenitors; they have only isolation and anger. Disaffection lacking a guiding philosophy... or anywhere to escape to. How sad and terrifying.

I don't think it's vulgar.

Immature wording maybe, but if you consider that vulgar, leaving your house in today's society must be downright frightening.

It's not my style, but I see save the tatas stickers on many flight cases.

Tatas stickers are unprofessional as well.

It isn't vulgar on a forum with your peers, with your buddies, or in the bedroom. My point is that it is unprofessional, in my opinion, when you're representing a profession. It steals credibility. It's poor judgment.

Maybe his wife or something had/has breast cancer? I'm not really saying it's right, but maybe it's more personal than you think. Some people just don't do subtle.

Again, pink wristband that says "Komen Cure". If my father came down with prostate cancer, god forbid, would it be acceptable to wear a wristband that says "I <3 glands near the male anus"? Or is that too personal?

Is it allowed by his company? That's all that really matters vs. the opinion of some corporate pilot on the internet.
IF/WHEN I have to wear a uniform I'll wear it to the letter but I'm not about to police other pilots on what they should or shouldn't wear.

I wouldn't know the GoJet uniform standards, but I would be pretty sure that this is unacceptable. Most companies would like pilot's to be professional.

This is why we have guys wearing heaphones, North Face fleeces, Wristbands, and Crocs - because there is no self-policing. We all get on here and complain about it, but no one does anything, including myself. Maybe this should be an ALPA initiative. To stop making some regional pilots look like scumbags.

Huh?

I won't admit I'm one of those guys who listens to music... Although, when we're in cruise talking to Air Inc over the ocean, it Can get pretty boring when you're with a guy who can't sustain normal conversation.

Learn how to read. Nothing is more annoying to me than flying with someone who thinks that it's my job to keep him entertained for four days.

So music bad/conversation bad/reading good?

I totally wear a North Face to cover my uniform up if I'm on a paid ticket to work. It's comfy and warm, and I can use KCM and still not be bothered. I also wear it in the freight hub where passengers can't see me, or sometimes on the jet while I'm flying (GASP).

Haters!

:)

P.S.: Earbuds while sitting in the back are a must!
P.P.S.: And I have a backpack!

I don't mind the music as long as you're not missing radio calls. And a little conversation here and there is fine. But the idiots who have the attention span of a 5 year old and can't read anything but US Weekly or People should be dragged into the street and shot.
