Eagle Interview

Don't get too discouraged if you don't have an internal rec. I started an airlineapps account when I got my first instructing job in 2007. I update it every couple of weeks and this morning I got an email inviting me to an interview.

Good Luck!

Does anyone know how many were in the class that started on Monday July 5 and the one that started two weeks before that?

I am wondering if American Eagle kick the interviewees out by asking whether they ever fail check ride at the beginning of interview process?

What does the medical at Eagle consist of? Is it just a drug test, or a full out flight physical by an AME?

A hearing test and a urine test. The days of the 'astronaut physical' are long gone. The hearing test is mostly so you can't claim hearing damage later in your career, etc.

If you make it to the medical part of the interview... assuming you're not deaf or going to spike on your UA, you're in. They'll have your conditional hire letter waiting for you when you're done.

For what? The new hire screening? Probie check rides? Kidney stones in senior Captains?

Sorry I was not more clear.

I was talking about those that start a class, get though training and pass the check ride.

How many are starting a class and out of those starting a class, how many pass the check ride are hired at eagle?

Joe

If you make it to a class date, you're hired. From that point on they're spending money on you, so you have to really flub up to get fired.

In my class of 12(9 ERJ, 2 ATR, 1 CRJ) only one person failed the sim checkride. Re checked with no problem and he's now flying on reserve.

So your class had a 100% pass rate! Is that pretty standard at Eagle?

For the most part. Not everybody is a 'first time go' but most make it through.

We had a couple of washouts in my newhire class. It does happen. Once they have you in the classroom, they'll do their best to make sure you know the material, but when you can't pass the ride, you can't pass the ride.

Out of my newhire class of 24 we had 4 wash out. 2 in the SAAB, 1 in the ATR and 1 CA upgrade in the EMB (he went back to FO and was in the new hire indoc because he transfered from Executive to Eagle).
