Don't Snap Roll A Hawker

There is no legal precedent requiring I even acknowledge an inquiry unless they have a legal document, and even at that point, I know nothing. Nothing, except my pastrami sandwich was delicious.

That generally just pisses the FAA off. And from my experience you don't want to piss off the FAA. They tend to start looking deeper until they can justify there existence.

@T/O w/FSII and @mshunter ...

This is The Webmaster's problem how? Everything he does at work is covered under an ASAP/FOQA MOU, so it's unlikely if not impossible for the FAA to witch hunt him. Probably not good for their business either....

That's my point. I seriously doubt the FAA will come after someone for something the say on Jetcareers.com, or any other forum for that matter unless they post a video to go asking with it. And Derg can pretty much say "uhh, I don't know the guy, he just posts some stuff here and there."

But it's pretty easy to find out who he is, and that can make finding a job pretty hard now.

No one is saying its his problem, but IF the FAA comes a knocking looking for info about a user who admitted to violating regs, Dergs gotta answer. Acting like you can just say "lol nah" to the FAA isn't going to work in real life.

Mostly this is just a conversation about how much an of idiot Inverted is. I would like to think that a pilot/person such as derg would stick up for his community and give up the dirt when certain users threaten our livelihood and safety. (I can see the bag of worms I just opened from here)

Bragging about rolling every plane he has touched doesn't exactly build a good repertoire, thats all.

I am pretty sure he stated that there is no legal precedent. So:

"Give us information."
"No."
"Okay."

You can see my pilot's certificate, but you can't touch or hold it.

They fixed the glitch; they're going to let the PROBLEM work itself out on its own ;)

This is a pretty good lesson for everyone. If you have a large online presence with pilot forums, social media, YouTube channel, podcast, Instagram, etc... That anyone can figure out your name, location, employer, work history, etc... DON'T POST ANYTHING DUMB!

You may not have taken a picture of your act, but someone else probably has. Everyone has a camera phone in their pocket now. Aviation is always interesting to non-aviators. I can google the tail numbers of the airplanes I fly and find numerous photos of myself taking off, landing, loading or unloading passengers. Here is a good example: Just ask our own members that take photos at SFO.

I think I would simply observe that the notion that one need be a "certified test pilot" in order to safely roll an aircraft is preposterous. WW1 pilots flew things held together by baling wire and chewing gum which had the aerodynamic characteristics of a paper mache snake while getting shot at and rolling RATHER A LOT, and even a lot of them managed not to crash, in spite of the fact that they were not CERTIFIED TEST PILOTS.

Now that's obviously leaving aside the question of how wise it is to advertise such things.

With that said, @CK and I have talked about it and he has no problem with me snap-rolling the Hawker, which is a good thing because I do it all the time!
