DL/AA how will they contact for interview

Update on AA. A couple of guys that I know have not heard anything yet. One guy who was in the same group that I interviewed with has received an offer. And a couple of other guys, myself included, have received the TBNT email. I don't know if guys are being held out to see if there will be the January class or not, or what is going on there.
 
I and all 7 Eagle dispatchers offered December class date have been drug tested. No word on how many externals hired but no more than 3.

First class of 11 internals started last Monday. 6 Eagle dispatchers in that class.

AA considering January class still.

If you havent heard yet it means you are in the pool for consideration for either January or whenever they have a class next year.

So I have gotten info from two separate sources that the Jan class most likely won't be happening..the opinion from one source states it is most likely due to the concessions in pretrial..here's to hoping that this rumor is false as no email has come across otherwise
 
Someone told me that the latest 'pool' of candidates is only good for 6 months and hiring after will require a new posting, any truth to this?

I Was told to expect the application to be good until Feb if by then u don't hear anything time to reapply. This is for the "current pool"
 
Latest word from the AA rumour mill is that the January class is postponed. They do not know as of now when the next class will be after the December 2nd class. Like with US Airways, there is some disagreement between management and the union on how many should be hired. For now though, the January class is likely postponed. It could be a while before AA has another class but it is a very fluid situation that changes almost weekly.

The pool is good for around 6 months by HR policy and after there will need to be a new posting and interviews.

I just find it to be so unprofessional that candidates like myself haven't gotten any word and frankly I'm not happy that no communication with the candidates that haven't heard anything hasn't been an attempted to tell us either way.

well they did communicate already to several people that they were declined the position for now, as said in this thread. Im actually happy they don't communicate yes or no, because the answer is most likely no, but at least they are trying to leave the option open for that to change.

be that as it mayb but some kind of communication would be great. thats all im saying. its been about two months since the interview and nothing just a little unprofessional in my eyes.
 
More communication might be nice but it's generally the exception and not the rule in my experience, at least in the airline industry. If you don't like how they treated you then you're free to seek employment elsewhere.

Hello to all,
I am in the same boat as several on here. No word at all. I do agree that we should get some sort of notification. Even if it were "Hey, you are still in the pool". I was hoping to hear from them soon when I heard about the DOJ ruling.

Keep on being patient, last I heard there will be z Jan class from the existing pool. Rumors but heard this today.

Well, if you're really curious and you have a contact number, they probably wouldn't mind you calling for an update. I mean, I wouldn't be calling on a weekly basis or anything but a follow-up call to touch base doesn't hurt either. I waited several months after my interview before getting hired at my current carrier and I called once or twice to get a status update on what was happening.
