I'm not a metallurgist, but that doesn't seem like a good idea.I remember see some places put bags of ice on top of the brakes....
Would you rather visit NY in July or January? Why do people go to Florida in the summer? Why did I go to the Bahamas in August 2 years ago? (Serious question, that was a terrible idea)
The answer, I think, is kids on break or something.
I'd rather go to NY in January, honestly, because I know better and I feel like I could get away with convincing people to do indoors stuff more easily than I could do it in July.
'Hey, lets just walk 7 blocks then take the 4 train down to Wall Street then walk a few more blocks to see the WTC monument!'
'Uggghh, cant we just go to a bar then a show?'
I read somewhere that is no longer bueno....

Virtually all brakes on modern airliners are carbon fiber. I can remember UAL testing carbon fiber brakes on the DC-10 back in the 90's.I'm not a metallurgist, but that doesn't seem like a good idea.

Yeah, they're great until you have to change a tire. Then they suck, hard.LOL...300 isn't that hot as you see it on a lot of landings. Now if start getting north of 400 you were on then pretty good. The plugs shouldn't go until about 800.
got to love the brake FANS
Derg, what's louder Brake Fans on the Airbus or Pack Fans on the 727?
Slightly on topic but I saw this video this morning and thought the same thing.Yeah, they're great until you have to change a tire. Then they suck, hard.

Good, anything they put out just makes things worse.
I agree. I'd rather catch a shorter flight down to carribean unless youre going for extended period of time. Why why why in the hell would someone.......Spend 11 hours on a flight to Hawaii this time of the year???
Meanwhile, the 737 doesnt even have a brake temperature guage.
