Departure roll abort with hot brakes, evacuation

Vegas when you're heavy, it's 46 degrees and they're landing on the 1s. Then you have to taxi to the other end of the airport and it's all downhill.....

Or even when there's icy taxiways and someone wants to pull a 35 minute turn in MSP. Turning on the engine anti-ice on with a light load means you're riding the brakes.

DEN..taxiing all the way to rwy 8 from the cargo ramp or worse..the 34's...ugh! I swear we're being punished when 35L is a short taxi and not much traffic.

I use to taxi with the brake fans running on the A300 on the taxi out. If not, you were guaranteed to get a "hot brakes" message after takeoff. Brake temps were always critical.

Or how about landing on 17L in DFW (more punishment) and taxiing all the way over to the west side cargo ramp in the summer. Bus.....ugh!! Let's just say idle reverse kept the brake temps in check.

The MD11 (surprisingly) is not near as critical on brake temps...
