Delta Psychological Eval Lawsuit?

From my experience the most interesting ones you fly with will be the most quiet and unassuming. The boastful ones are usually zeros. One of the most interesting guys I flew with was a sub hunter in a previous life. Great, funny stories once you got him going.
C'mon, haven't you read the neighbor-witness statements in every vicious crime?!? It's always, "he was a quiet man..." ;)
In under the wire (1954) :bounce:

Of course, it also means I’ll see a lot fewer sunsets, so there’s that ...
That may be true... Yet, on the bright side, you'll have the motivation to seek out those sunsets and the ability to appreciate them.

And, unlike my bartender/server at a rural-state Red Robin the other evening, you'll know in which cardinal directions to look for sunrise and sunset, and from that knowledge, be able to extrapolate a general sense of north and south. (Seriously, try that game some day. I've noted that a shockingly high percentage of youngsters are so disconnected from nature as to be rendered unaware of which direction to look for sunrise. It's disturbing.)

Is your name Saul Berenson and do you work for the CIA?
Googled it. Looks like a good show.

I showed a TSA agent my passport once. He said it didn’t look like me. I said, well who the hell does it look like? He said “Walter White” Can I go now? Sure.
That was when I had wire rimmed glasses, a goatee and a scowl on my passport photo.

...And you were bald under your black hat??

That’s not the point. The damages are. The remedy to these suits is a cash settlement not to force the company to hire.
Quite right. While the fines/penalities for corporations should be much higher, I think of it as speeding ticket for companies... a kind of fee for doing what you want despite its illegality, to wit: going faster than you ought, or looser than you ought.

I never got the point of bringing a lawsuit to get hired someplace. Would you really wanna work somewhere that didn't want you?
Yeah, well, I would never be a member of any club that would accept such as myself as a member. ;)

I was born relatively in between, told that Sara Jessica Parker was attractive but never subscribed to that.
I dunno, man. She was kinda hot/adorable in L.A. Story, but that may have been all the Body Glove stuff she was wearing that reminded me of Kari Wuhrer...

Very rarely I'll sit next to someone who's done other things in their life or has some truly profound wisdom to learn from,

This is why I thought it would always be more fun to fly with us middle-aged career changers because we've done some other stuff....

I asked a certain, well-known member of this forum once, during a meet n' greet - "Is it true that most career pilots are utter social retards?"

"Yes. Absolutely yes."

Yessir, 100%.

In the case of the person already on the property, that’s another story. And I think she might even prevail.

You’ve worked with tech people most of your career. Surely you realize that “work work work” is not limited to just aviation.

Medical folks are just as bad.

Embrace the nerdiness. Try to out-nerd the other guy. Tell some funny flying stories. Don’t worry about it. Outside a couple people on the Internet, nobody cares.

Don’t get me wrong, I love flying, but I’ve been doing it since 1986 so I think I’m outta stuff to fill a conversation about besides “Stupid Pilot Tricks” :)

Come on, if you can’t figure out the mmpi you should take a prep course.
Imagine you’re an American of Scandinavian descent (Lutheran Missouri synod) when answering. it’s a no brainer.

I have extensive MN experience. How much would y'all be willing to pay for test prep courses?

Very rarely I'll sit next to someone who's done other things in their life or has some truly profound wisdom to learn from, or has a diverse educational background in something completely different than aviation who's passions lie outside the cockpit and it's really nice.

I need to save this quote. I might need to actually use something like it in my next interview, whenever that is.

Sometimes silence is the best conversation, especially before 8am :)

This should be a placard in every hotel van.

Oh man. A couple years ago I got told that at 5am in the van by a rather chirpie FA. “Oh you don’t sound like a morning person.”

All I did was be quiet and not partake in their conversation. People. It’s pitch black outside. The sun’s not up and won’t be up for a bit. This early I don’t even know my own name, let alone what city we’re in. Lets get to the airport, the first coffee kick in, and we’ll talk then.

A case of the Monday's? :)

This should be the first thing taught in F/A indoc training. Throw it in their recurrent training while we are at it.

Along with having your ID out before you get to the KCM, and not having it buried six feet in your bag.
Also how to sign into the hotel sheet. I swear it’s like some of them are trying to solve differential equations. Put your damn name down, take your key, and move!
