DCI Shuffle

Are you guys under some corporate directive to interface with the public more often? They're kind of leaning toward that with us.

It was mentioned in an internal e-mail recently and the puppet master says we'll be hearing more about directives to make us better. Apparently DL did some surveys and that was a weak point among DCI carriers.

I'd have no problem wearing the 9E hat once they take the belt buckle with a plane crashing into a mountain off of it. I'm with others on here. Wear the uniform as asked, fly the plane as asked. Don't understand why so many guys feel the need to look like hillbilly truck drivers. Even if we do make less than a truck driver.

Much to the chagrin of Bumblebee, yes, the welcome aboard PA is sometimes lacking.

On an :18 turn my time for public relations is VERY limited. But on a longer turn, I'll try to say hi, and do some cockpit-to-cabin "Thanks for choosing us" work.

Speaking of Derg don't forget to fill out your employee survey. The deadline is quickly approaching!!

Cav - Did you? I haven't filled one out since the days of VP Warren Jensen having the jet brought back to the gate, first class passengers sent to coach so his daughter and her friends could ride first class to Denver for free heee heee. :)

I figured our admin, at the time, really didn't care what we thought after that one.

Nope. I question the real reason for even having it. Is it to make changes or be able to say hey look at our happy employees!

I figure nothing is going to change except the amount of free time that I would have by completing it.

Not that I'm jaded, we know where the problems are, we know what the issues are, why not just rectify them.

"Tell me how you feel about the neighbors dog pooping in your front yard and the failure of your neighbor to take responsibility for it? On a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being 'highly dissatisfied' and 5 bering 'very satisfied'" :)

my chagrin comes from the fact that the Captain lets you speak...at all. I imagine He/She doesn't make you follow five paces behind in the terminal either. More weak minded drones.

If we're a minute past pushback, unless you're explaining the delay, save it for after takeoff I think.

I can't stand when we're 5 minutes late and someone is on the PA telling me:

What flight number: I already know, plus at this point it doesn't matter.
Where we're going: I already know man, LEGGO!
The weather: Tell me later, LEGGO!!!!!!!
The ride: 50% of the time when it's supposed to be smooth, it's turbulent and when it's forecast to be turbulent, it's smooth.... LEGGOOOOOOO!!!!!

etc.
