Contract Negotiations / Agreement

Re: Contract Negotiations...

speakin of contracts, here is one for all you FFA lovers just to show you what great people they are.

in early 2006 The FFA put this to NATCA, Give us the C-scale for all new hires and the A/B-scale controllers could keep there money and raises.

do you know what NATCA said??????????????????????????????????????

NATCA said NO. what did the FFA do?????????????????????????????

they imposed the IWR froze all pay for the A/B-scale and threw all the new people under the bus with the C-scale,also ask all the early CTIs how much PER DIEM that they got.

the only way to deal with the FFA is with a good contract and a baseball bat.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Um...the FFA??? I think you mean the FAA

Sure hope the Future Farmers of America don't get beat up by baseball bats that are meant for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I'm not familiar with labor law.

Once arbitration is done, is it binding?

If it's not binding, what would happen next?

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I believe in this case, both sides agreed to binding arbitration. The panel consists of one person selected by the FAA, one by NATCA, and a third that is chosen by the other two

Re: Contract Negotiations...

We get it, you don't like Pat, but his website has by far the most relevant information on contract negotiations.
The FAA is my enemy. 214th out of 216 best Federal places to work.

Patrick Forrey has been off the boards for over twenty years??? Pat Forrey hasn't talked to airplanes for twenty years?!?!?!? Jesus on a moped, did this guy ever work any traffic? Seriously, his headset has got to have a pretty healthy inch or two of dust on it. What are his operating initials---EZ? Pat's headset might even be one of those old timey over the head types with the giant boom microphone that ends with a mouthpiece the size of a strawberry. And if the radio didn't have a crank on the side, well....then it was plenty modern.

Cleveland Center=full time official time

Great Lakes Region RVP=full time official time

President, NATCA=full time official time

Pat, guess what? We got RADAR!!! And data, too!!! No more shrimp boats!! Now mind you over three hundred airlines have gone out of business since you last worked rotating shifts, so don't go calling out for the National 727 to follow the Republic DC-3.

TWENTY YEARS WITHOUT A HEADSET????? No wonder he seems so out of touch.
-The Main Bang

The guy(Pat) was good at what he did...I don't know. Funny stuff. Of course the current president is going to get the worst of it.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

When queeno says ffa, he means ffa. You'll never see FAA in any queeno post.

For a while I believe he was writing FFAA but it got shortened to FFA...could be wrong but that is what I seem to recall :)

That was Jon (a.k.a. cj @A80, a.k.a ATLTRACON)... however it went the other way. He started out with FFA and expanded it to FFAA.

queeno has always said FFA.

Those of you who get hired will eventually find out why it's called the FFA. If you don't find out... don't worry about it... just enjoy your management job.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Don't wrack your brain too much... it's really more of an effect type thing than a secret code.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Is there any news on arbitration, it's been a month since we have heard anything new, I didn't think arbitration would take this long.
