Contract Negotiations / Agreement

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Looking at the new pay bands, looks like about a 10% raise per year on each band, from 2010 to 2012.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

yep, sounds about right...I'm pretty happy with the results, my CPC payband jumped by $30,000 a year, that is pretty big.

Edit: after figuring locality pay

Yea by the time we hit CPC status which would probably be at or pass the 2012 time frame for us center people, my payband jump around $27k more a year. :rawk:\

Edit: Just to reconfirm ZLA is level 12 facility right?

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I'm going to be in great shape in three years, but as of right now I need to start looking for a job because I just can't survive on what I'm making.

Re: Arbitration Agreement

it's a binding agreement for at least 3 years, after which point the faa or natca and choose to re-negotiate the terms.

Re: Arbitration Agreement

so that sexy 8% raise for the 1440 new hires for this year. i assume that applies to D-side trainees?

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Fogive me if this has been asked already, but I was looking through the mediators decided pdf file that swinte posted and did not see anything about the hiring needs/numbers for FY10. Is this update only for the pay bands? Thanks!

These negotiations only delt with the ATC workforces current contract...pretty sure hiring numbers and needs fall under a different realm.

It really doesn't end up being an 8% raise. They see additional money a little earlier, but that 8% is basically cancelled out by the pay band bump everyone gets 6 months later.

Yeah, the FAA Reauthorization Act, which is still stuck in Congress as far as I know
