Colgan ALPA ?

N422NM

Home on the weekends
Hearing reports that they vote was lost by 4 votes...?

155 needed for ALPA, only 151 recieved >

Confirm ?

I'm truly disgusted by the apathy that is COLGAN.   I can't tell you how many people said to me that they weren't gonna vote because it was going to pass anyway.

4 FREAKING VOTES! Very Disappointing!

Thanks guys/ gals for allowing management to win by default. We've certainly sent a message to them......do whatever you want because we just don't care about our futures. Nice job!!!! :banghead:  :banghead:

Please please please.......anybody looking for street captains??? How about a nice major FO job??? 'Cause I can't wait to get out of here before the #####-storm begins.

On a side note, does anyone know how long we have to wait for a re-vote?

i think the revote thing is in one year. seggy would know more. just to play devils advocate, why would people choose not to vote? Lazy, thought it was a shoe in? maybe some weren't voting for mgmt, maybe they just didn't want alpa in light of the usairways and united pilots trying to get rid of them. Who knows. Hopefully alpa and the OC will find out why people voted or didn't, so this doesn't happen next time.

Absolutely, I don't have a problem with those that didn't vote because they didn't want ALPA. That's their right to choose.....no problems there. Although I don't agree with them. ;)

HOWEVER, I do have a problem with the apathetic people who were in favor of ALPA representation but did absolutely nothing about it. HOW HARD IS IT TO CALL AN 800 NUMBER AND PUNCH A COUPLE NUMBERS WHEN PROMPTED????? This is also the problem with the current voting apathy in general government elections as well. My vote doesn't count......my candidate isn't going to win anyway.....I don't feel like making a decision.....blah blah blah.

Well Uncle Phil is happy as hell over this.... I am sorry for you guys at Colgan- you are now going to be pawns (in my opinion).. I can see PNCL and Colgan being used as leverage against each other. I am not knocking Colgan- heck I am at PNCL, but for both sides the 2% in ALPA dues would have been some very cheap insurance. I wish the colganites the best...

Sorry to hear this news gents. I know you all tried very hard to get this one.

Maybe next year?

Sorry Cruise, Seggy, and all other Colganites.

Well, this serious makes our scope clause grievance a BIG deal now. Same goes with any scope language in our new contract, which management is trying to erode every time they show up at the table. There's a chance with the failed ALPA vote at Colgan that the word "staple" might be tossed around. At the VERY least, Colgan is gonna become the whipping post of the Pinnacle Corp family. If I were doing research into which regional to go to right now, Colgan wouldn't be very high on the list due to the uncertainty of what's gonna happen when management (note NOT the Colgans but PINNACLE management) starts digging in over there. If it weren't for the CBA we have in place here at PCL, I probably woulda been long gone from this airline, living in base or not.

Sorry for the ignorance....but what's a CBA?

Collective Bargaining Agreement.....aka what you would have had if 4 more people had actually let their fingers do the walking.

dude that is some horrible news. i would have loved to have had the chance to work there. fly tp's but now that dream will stay a dream. you guys put in a lot of hard work and it did not pay off. sorry to see that pilots shot themselves in the foot. best of luck in the coming months.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess those that didn't vote or voted no are gonna learn the hard way and will be prayin for the next ALPA vote if there is one! Sorry guys!:( Get that TPIC and ge the hell out of Dodge, before the #### hits the fan.
