i think the revote thing is in one year. seggy would know more. just to play devils advocate, why would people choose not to vote? Lazy, thought it was a shoe in? maybe some weren't voting for mgmt, maybe they just didn't want alpa in light of the usairways and united pilots trying to get rid of them. Who knows. Hopefully alpa and the OC will find out why people voted or didn't, so this doesn't happen next time.
Well Uncle Phil is happy as hell over this.... I am sorry for you guys at Colgan- you are now going to be pawns (in my opinion).. I can see PNCL and Colgan being used as leverage against each other. I am not knocking Colgan- heck I am at PNCL, but for both sides the 2% in ALPA dues would have been some very cheap insurance. I wish the colganites the best...
Well, this serious makes our scope clause grievance a BIG deal now. Same goes with any scope language in our new contract, which management is trying to erode every time they show up at the table. There's a chance with the failed ALPA vote at Colgan that the word "staple" might be tossed around. At the VERY least, Colgan is gonna become the whipping post of the Pinnacle Corp family. If I were doing research into which regional to go to right now, Colgan wouldn't be very high on the list due to the uncertainty of what's gonna happen when management (note NOT the Colgans but PINNACLE management) starts digging in over there. If it weren't for the CBA we have in place here at PCL, I probably woulda been long gone from this airline, living in base or not.
Collective Bargaining Agreement.....aka what you would have had if 4 more people had actually let their fingers do the walking.
