Chicago PEPC

I bet you are fine. I doubt the people want to hang out there longer than 6:00 or 7:00 tonight. I could be wrong, but it is a government job after all and I believe the facility you are interviewing at run on more government times than FAA times cause it is a headquarters, but I could be wrong.

My husband has been at the center since 7:45 (had to be there by 0800) this morning. I am hoping for a phone call in the next 2 hours! You guys have it easy, you are there...for those of you with wives/family we are sitting at home on edge, waiting :banghead::banghead: I couldn't sleep at all last night! I am not the one interviewing, but my life is affected and I can't do anything about it. I hate being on edge like this!:panic:

If you see a guy with a brownish/red hair and goatee, scars on his face (most prominent feature from a car accident) in a tan suit with turquoise shirt, tell him his wife is DYING for an update!

lol They actually have to stay until EVERYONE is processed, and don't go in for your drug test if you just pee'd, as once you're in the stall, you can't come out until you're done. They said one person took 3.5 hours to do it because they just didn't have to go/couldn't lol.

Well my husband just finished the PEPC (took just over 4 hours), first one done today. Things went well, some of the question for the interview were different than the ones on here. By chance he got someone from ZLC (the place he has been selected for) as his interviewer. His medical went well except he has to go to a Dr. here in UT and get checked out cause of stuff that was previously noted on Airmen form. Go figure the thing we thought was great is the thing we now have to worry about now!

As for a time frame - they said that everyone hired at this PEPC is hired for FY09 so no starting dates until after October 1st...

I second that - any guestimate given for terminal / enroute class dates? Might be a big clue for those of us waiting on the CLs

Like everyone else interviewing yesterday I am going enroute, and I was told by the HR person not to expect a class date until Feb./March (kind of disappointing), unless something opens up sooner. Although she said clearances only take a couple weeks and anywhere from 4-5 weeks I should expect a FOL.

Also the lady I interviewed with said there is not failing the interview and as long as you answer the questions you will receive your TOL. They just use the interview to give your facility manager a little information about you and your personality prior to you arriving.

No celebrating just yet...I have my interview tomorrow at 1. I'm here in Chicago staying at a friend's place waiting excitedly like a kid on Christmas Eve.

However, tomorrow IT IS ON!! :nana2:

I'm on my way out for Chicken Wings and Beer my last night here, and Jeremy Stratton :P Lol I saw your folder on the table yesterday when I was going out the door. They were setting up for todays stuff. lol.. I knew that name rung a bell ;)

Question for contact wearers who already attended:

Did you have to take them out for the vision test?

What's the deal with those directions? I brought my glasses but I would rather not wear them--I think they are out of date.

:nana2: anyone celebrating tonight?:nana2:

Ill just sit here at my pitty party at the airport.. lol

The Doctor who does the physical said that you are supposed to do a vision test both with and without corrective lenses. I wore my glasses and never had to take them off.

how'd everyone else do? i got YIP :whatever:

looks like i'll be sweating it out a few years in a tower before i get to realize my TRACON dreams

Not that this helps any of us now... but about 6 last night, the ladies doing the Security stuff were talking about pushing hard to let you do your SF85/86 online at home instead of at the PEPC. That would have been nice to get it all entered in there (I thought it was helpful that the automated system wouldn't let you move forward unless you filled it out correctly)... and then go over it with them at the PEPC for anything you needing clarification on... ya know?!

ALSO... to the guy that jumped into MY cab! LOL

If you're on this forum...Thank you for splitting the cost! Sorry I didn't talk, I was kinda pissy.

Where the hell are all the Terminal people? No updates from them?

enroute was for the first 2-3 days, terminal was thurs/friday if i recall correctly. but they "filled in" some of the slots that opened up with terminal guys... which is why i ended up going on tuesday :hiya:

so, short answer: they go tomorrow and friday :D
