Changing the lav

Still awaiting an answer...what is "they"?
The wings. Yep. Wings with an "s". Because I'm sure there was more than one built. For more than one aircraft. Pretty sure Cessna has pounded out a BUNCH of Cjs.

One aircraft gets one wing. It is mated to the bottom of the fuselage with bolts. Like I said. There is only one...per aircraft.

They. Wings. Multiple wings for multiple aircraft. Each aircraft gets one.

So, which part of this "middle" section you mention produces lift?
Couldn't tell you. I'm not an aeronautical engineer. Probably none of it.

WING.....
h : an airfoil that develops a major part of the lift which supports a heavier-than-air aircraft

Why are you guys arguing about this?
I have no idea. I originally posted it (even with the "nazi type" tried to be obvious) to be tongue-in-cheek. Even inserted a :D.

Cessna says there's one. FSI says there's one. CAE says there's one. Cessna mechanics say there's one. Dusty says there's two. He sees one on each side. But that's not it. It's one piece mounted with bolts to the fuselage. Probably made up of hundreds of parts...but one piece with a divider and a skid plate.

Ya know what though Jimmy? You're right.

There's actually way more than 2 wings on the Cj... Since people want to really get technical.

Dusty could say there are 13 wings on a CJ, and it really wouldn't change the way the earth turns. And I partly agree with him, if there was a bird strike, and it hit the left wing, I'd write it up as "bird strike, left wing".

...And cessna would either fix the left side of the wing or pull the wing off of the bottom and you'd get a whole new one. Right side and left side. I'm sure that's significantly more expensive.

Come back to PPW, we miss you.

You've been saying that for how long? :D
I'm getting better though. I can now go days without so much as checking my e-mail!!!!

Once I get recalled and get work and home e-mails forwarded to some sort of smart phone, I'm done. Srsly. I won't even need a computer outside of checking weather........and I'll do that at the FBO.

So, you're stuck with me until I get banned or recalled...which ever happens first.
