CFI position , Seattle - please read the requirements

Once again, spreading wrong information on the message boards. Last I checked there are no flight schools on the Southwest side of BFI
You're a good chief pilot. Saying lots of words that take up a lot of space, but you're not really saying anything or answering anyone's questions.

for your graduate program after you complete you're degree you'll have a total of 4500hrs within 48 months. By my calculations thats roughly 94 hrs flown each month, every single day thats 3.1 roughly...all while getting a degree?
I know you mentioned that that is old material, but even when it was current HOW would anybody do that? I feel like that might be a bit of false advertising, hope nobody fell for that one...
$15/hr???? I know from experience that salary will never keep somebody motivated enough to provide decent instruction. If the instructor has to worry about how he is going to eat or pay his rent, he is not going to give a damn if some floosy microsoft employee doesn't understand how to land an airplane.

I was enjoying viewing the thread until you dropped the name Pro Flight in your arguments and now I have to add my .02. Please stop badmouthing Pro Flight. I work as a part-time instructor there and like the people, working conditions and pay. Whatever treatment and pay you got there isn't reflective of current treatment and pay. Whenever possible, I try to be fair and mention Acuwings to prospective students who are researching area flight schools. Now I am second guessing that idea.

Now, with regards to general CFI work in this economy, all I can comment on is that it's best to have a full-time job and have a CFI gig on the side. I have this type of situation and it satisfies the flying bug, and I can also pay the bills and keep the wife happy!

you just started working there.. How about 10 year history working with Diane. I guess you were not there when Diane told a customer that she never heard of AcuWings and she has been on the field for 15 years.
Or how about not servicing us when we need a ground power. How come Bernie comes over when I call him directly but Diane refuses to service me.
How about the lies that we will be out of service 'this winter'.. For last 5 years she keeps telling people that.. Or how about her telling people 'I don't know where he finds the money. He must have some connections to shady people , or some connections to terrorists'.. These are the things that she said to people about me and my wife.
You enjoy Pro-Flight? Good for you.. I dare you mention us when she is present and see what kind of reaction you will get from her ..

The law is not that easy.. You have to prove that you are facing those things beyond a reasonable doubt. The customers that they are facing this, can come out and testify but it doesn't go beyond 'hear say'. Don't you think I looked into it?

Fair enough. I did start working there in December and do not know the history between you and Diane. I am only there part-time when I am needed, usually after my regular job or on the weekends, so I do not know what she tells students, nor do I care. One thing I do know, however, is that I have never heard her mention anything about AcuWings while in my presence - either good or bad. In fact, most of what I have heard about AcuWings in general from other people has been fairly positive.

No. If I went into my other (regular) job tomorrow and mentioned a competing company to a client while there, I'd be out on the street within 5 minutes. When I meet people while out and about or online, I will mention other companies so they can make their own informed decision on where to go if they wish. This isn't anything they can't just do on their own anyway. It all boils down to what the student/client wants from a Flight School, and what his or her needs are in that regard. Beyond that, when I'm at work, I am loyal to the company. It's the professional thing to do.

As a prospective student a few years ago, I walked out of a flight school after the owner started bashing another flight school. I only asked him a simple question about how his program could match the other school and he went off. So I also went off..off the premises to my car and never looked back that is.
