Vikingair,
very good points. Let me make one thing clear, there is nothing secretive about this business. Everyone can come in and inspect it all they want. You are correct about the fact that I put blood, sweat and tears into this business to build it from 1 airplane operation and a pipe dream to 11 airplanes in less than 5 years. I spent thousands of dollars fighting a City that doesn't want flight instruction in their airport by taking the case all the way to Washington DC.
On the other hand, it seams to me that some of the members of this board didn't even get to know anything what Socrates meant. NickH has been constantly talking trash about this business.

I don't even know who he is. May be someone who didn't like the offer we made to him.. Then you move on...
On another thread someone disseminated bad info about our company that was not based on fact. This person, came to us, got checked out for free on all of the airplanes and when she found another job she left telling us 'My brother died in a car crash. I need to be with my family' ..Yet it seems to me that people like this hold more credibility on these boards than someone who is willing and looking to hire an experienced instructor.

You are correct, aviation is a very small community. A pilot friend of mine reminded me that 'the toes you are stepping onto might be connected to the asses that have to kiss one day'.. I think you get the picture..
The other thing is, I have always hired instructors according to my perception of their personal integrity.(Although we have made mistakes before) You can teach someone how to teach properly, but you cannot teach a person the integrity.
So, instead of hijacking my own thread, the position will become available mid March. If there is anyone willing to work , here's an opportunity. If you are interested , apply. Thanks in advance.
