I have no dog in this fight. When all of the dust settles, there is someone looking for a flight instructor and a whole battered industry of pilots (some being flight instructors) wanting to work. Perception being what it is (SeattlePilot doesn't appear too have many fans) I can't help but wonder what the background is. Why not just list your minimum salary? With all due "respect", why be sarcastically confrontational? Just asking.

I explained many times why I don't post my salary. Once again, I have legitimate reasons why I don't list it; read the whole thread.
You all are acting like every single job announcement has a salary attached to it. Ever seen DOE, Negotiable or N/A in salary sections of the job ads?

Most places I know play CFI's per a flight hour. Some might pay a CFI X and pay a CFII/MEI X+Y.
But what makes one CFI better then another to warrant a negotiable salary? Do you charge more for the CFIs you pay more? If not it sounds like you can play the CFIs off each other to work for less pay.
I guess at the end of the day NickH is somebody I know and trust and you are some guy on the internet that will not answer a question.

It's real easy. How much do you pay? Especially for Part 141 Assistant Chiefs which is what you are advertising for.
You want to defend the honor of your company, its as easy as letting us know what you pay. However since you have dodged the question multiple times I'm assuming your just another management slime-ball hosing his employees while he laughs his way to the bank. Please prove me wrong and post your pay scales.

That gives you a right to trash people that you don't know, because?
That reminds me of the old question "So tell me, when did you quit beating your wife?"
While I may not be in agreement with the way that Seattle is handling the inquiries about this position, I kind of think your "tell us what we demand to know or you're a slime ball" question is a tad bit...shall we say presumptuous?

I don't think so. I've worked my share of crappy CFI jobs and even they payed bennies. We have enough spam, crappy job openings, to last a life time. If you want to come on JC and post a job which you are the boss and can't answer a simple questions such as what is the pay? Then that already is a warning flag. Another warning flag is how he tries to discredit the poster right off the bat that tries to warn us of this job posting. Instead of countering how his pay is descent, work rules, QoL, blah blah blah he can't so he results to personal attacks of another member on this website. Prove me wrong, make me eat my words, make me look like the fool.
...............somehow doubting that is going to happen.

your experience with other flight schools is your experience with other flight schools. You are seeing the things from your perspective and I have mine. .
I am trashing NickH because he has been making statements about my school on this forum. (Examples are pay, and the remarks he made about the ferry pilot ad I posted)
You are talking about < redacted >, but you didn't hesitate to add your remark about the Airbus position i posted. It's 5 am and I have been up all night working on the contract for this job I posted. Of course, I have a business interest in this, but at the same time if some retired/furloughed people get this job , I'll be a happy camper. (I have been on furlough for 18 months and i know how it feels like)
Yes, I don't have any benefits.. I probably , most likely will never have them in near future. It's a business decision. I cannot afford it. Period. I am not the only small business in this situation. Heck, even big corporations are cutting back on bennies or loading most of it on employees. Is that a crime?
You don't know me personally. May be I am may be I am not. You won't find that out until you meet me personally.
I have multiple times explained the reasons why I don't post the pay. Never did , never will in ANY job that I will post in the future. Read through the thread , you will understand it.
I gave you so many professional job links where the salary is not posted. Do you think posting a pay will make me a better person? I hardly think so.

Yes,
there are 3 different layers of compensation. Regular CFI, assistant CFI and chief CFI .. The pay gets higher with each one of those..

It's sad, but in Atlanta, we had to change the definition of "suicide" to "flying one of Phil's multi's." AA is a crazy place to teach. Right up there with the joke known as "The Flight School of Gwinnett."

Southwest. I was there just yesterday, checking to see if they were looking for any non-CFI help after moving to the area last week... and to look for a flight school to resume some training.
Interesting to come here and notice this thread a day later. Remember how someone at the beginning mentioned that aviation is a small world?
