I haven't been there yet, but I'd say try me........dont care that much, I've been gone for close to a year before (most of my youngest's first, one time), my wife and kids can play that game too. I think they have to pay decent money if this happens.

The penalty laps are from the 5:15 average daily guarantee in the new contract. Kinda sucks, but it forced the schedules to be more efficient which I think is a win, if imperfect.

I think ANC-JFK or SEA-(Bahamas.....I have no idea what the identifier is) will soon take that title. S*** the ANC-SAN all nighter (I don't even know if it is, but I know it will be) is gonna be shorter but probably more brutal.

ANC to socal is nothing. Then again the 737 is slow, but I’m always surprised at the flight time on ANC-LAX. SAN can’t be that much longer

I mean, by people who fly long distances standards, yeah it isn't much. But I imagine that one will block 5+ hrs in the 73, which is a transcon if you flew east from SEA. I have a somewhat low tolerance for flights over 2 hrs though, which I am working on

I was the same. When I flew RJs I’d die inside on any flight over 2 hours. The next shop my first OE flight on the 73 was ORD-ANC. I thought about just quitting. Now on the 78 my perspective has finally changed. I just picked up a Newark - Frankfurt and am happy because it is “short.” I do J-berg, Capetown, and/or Tokyo every month and those are 13-15 hours.
