Breaking News: US Airways Jet Crashes in the Hudson River.

Re: Breaking! USAirways Jet in the Hudson!

CNBC says it's an A-320 from LGA to CLT.

Re: Breaking! USAirways Jet in the Hudson!

It's pretty far out in the water too. Looks intact and there are boats rescuing the people as we speak.

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

CNN is already speculating that it struck a bird. Hope all are ok. I have been watching it for about 3 minutes and the tail is slowly sinking.

Re: Breaking! USAirways Jet in the Hudson!

Damn it. . .just hope their are no fatalities and everyone comes out safe. Otherwise it'll be our first fatal accident in what, three years?

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

Wife just called, I did a LGA turn earlier today it was nasty but was clearing up by 12-ish. Where did it go down? They were departing 13 earlier?

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

Hey, at least the DOW came up from it's bottoms for today! lol

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

Yikes. Good on the crew for keeping it in one piece to facilitate the rescue. Here's to hoping everyone is okay.

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

It looks pretty much intact so it should have been survivable for all on board. I sure hope so. Terrible to see this happen.

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

MSNBC is saying they put it down intentionally after hitting birds.

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.

Looks like they got up to 3000 feet then came back down.

Re: Breaking News: USAirways Jet in the Hudson River.
