Atlantic Southeast Airlines/ExpressJet

Does anyone know if XJET considers guys with less than 50 multi?

thanks

Hey Persian! Hmmmm, I cannot speak from experience. I believe the the 100 is pretty hard, and it would maybe be possible to recieve an interview with 50 MEL and a jet transition course.

Hope the best for you.

ExpressJet will be hiring about 40 pilots per month for the rest of the year. Regarding the multi time, I would believe you would need the 100 hrs. The only airline that I know that is hiring with 50 multi is Piedmont Airlines. You might also look at Silver Airways (formally Gulfstream). Their hiring mins are 250 multi total time. They do not state any multi mins.

Juxta is right. Hiring my stop in may-summer just to see how the industry is going. Then for sure pick up in the fall. But who knows

What is driving hiring? Attrition? I thought I read somewhere that some -135s are being brought from the desert so I didn't know if maybe there's some growth going on as well.

The ERJ side has been understaffed for a long time. Last summer they were offering the pilots 200% to pick up trips on their days off and vacations. They did bring back the 135s. We have lots of MX checks coming up so they brought them back to cover the flights. Other rumor i heard was because of Colgain. LAst report i heard was they were going to hire 400 this year for the erj side. but i just found out that we are having two classes for the CRJ side as well. Side note the 135s are fun to fly.

I just had a silver guy in the jumpseat and said mins are up to 750 TT.

This post brought to you by beta from my iPhone.

Definately jealous of the new hires. Hopefully in a few months I will be in your shoes. Congrats.

I am working in NW of Houston at Hooks. If you have any free time(most likely not) feel free to give me a shout out. I'll buy you a beer to pick your brain. :)

Good luck during Indoc.

Has any one been getting job offers, I interviewed 3 weeks ago Wednessday and still no call back, I know that 2 of the 4 pilots that interviewed got rejection letters...

I suppose that they're sticking to the age requirement on their website? About a month ago they added that applicants need to be 23 by Aug 1, 2013. I was just wondering if anyone has maybe been called but does not meet that requirement recently. I know SkyWest still advertises a minimum age of 21.

Anyone interviewing on May 7th?

I have a friend in class that was told they are running a class May 14 or 17 then that is it until the fall.

Anyone have a recent interview experience with XJet? I will be there next Tuesday. They told me (3) written's in the morning, a 1on1 HR in the afternoon with drug testing.

It was as they described over the phone and email. The morning consisted of (3) CBT's, (1) was personality test, (1) was technical knowledge, and (1) was cognitive reasoning. Afternoon involved a 30-minute 1on1 HR/technical question and answer session, and lastly we were shuttled over for a drug test. Went well, I am just waiting on a class date.

I interviewed 9/27 and currently waiting for a call/email. There were 6 in the list but only 4 of us showed up. Applications/paperwork will be collected at around 7:30. The recruiter will briefed the group about the tests. 3 test in the morning, NEO, Cognitive, Delta Airlines pilot test, personal questionnaire and a short essay, to be completed between 7:30 - 11:30. Lunch is available at the cafeteria, cost about $5.00. After lunch there will be a Powerpoint presentation about the company...... talked/discussed about the ERJ, CRJ and the coming of the MRJ, Mitsubishi Regional Jets, company, pays, benefits.... for about 30-45 minutes. According to them, the pool is down to less 40. There is a class starting on Oct 8. They don't know if they will have another class by December. There is a one on one interview with either the recruiter or one of their line pilots about your application. I interviewed with the recruiter who called me for the position. Interview can last between 20-45 minutes. Mine was about 25-30. After the interview, someone will bring the group across the street to their HR department and go over your documents/application. You will also be fingerprinted, then off to drug testing. They will hand the group a taxi voucher to the clinic and back to your hotel. I was told that if you make it through the Delta test, you are about 90% OK. If anyone needs additional info about the interview, please PM me, I would be happy to answer any questions.

Just curious, what times did people have that were interviewing?

I had 3,300 TT, 1,100 Turbine PIC, 2,500 Single Pilot 135 Cargo, 2,400 AMEL. I am probably a bad example though because there were 3 other guys there interviewing that day and two of them were CFIs (no commercial flying experience). I believe they said they had around 1,500-2,000 hrs TT w/ 200-300 AMEL. I think those were their numbers but I cannot be sure. I interviewed back in the beginning of Aug.
