Atlantic Southeast Airlines/ExpressJet

I was at that fair too. The GoJet's guy said to go do ATP's CRJ Transition. Did you hear that too?

Yea I heard that. But I'm avoiding Go Jet period... that ATP RJ course I have heard isn't necessary when it comes to being hired. Unless you're under hours at Eagle and they pay for the course, I wouldn't do it. Besides, we're going to have our won RJ course at SIU soon

That's what I thought too, but the ASA recruiter said that ANY flight ops internship would give me the reduced minimums. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should spend a summer doing an internship with either AA or DL or spend the summer building time...

Flight Ops Internships are shifting to fall/spring only. Delta has temporarily stopped their internship program as well.

Good to see so many people are interviewing and having great luck! I've been a 91 guy in a short aviation career so far but want to interview for the experience and am thinking I would like the 121 world, but haven't had enough experience to make up my mind. Anyway, if anyone else will be at the November 14 interview let me know! I have a few questions that I have answers to but am not super confident-

1) What are the brown diamonds on the Jepp enroute charts?
2) What are takeoff minimums for Part 121?
3) If you are at 20,000' and you get cleared for an approach beginning at 6,000' in a non-radar environment, what is the procedure?

Thanks!

hey everyone... anyone interview around the 2nd of this month? i did and i still havent heard anything back yet... gettin a bit stressed out, so i wanted to see if anyone else had heard back yet

What's the word around the school house about hiring? How long will they contine? how many per class?

when i went to the line back in October they were doing classes of 8 every week. they are upgrading like 32 a month i think.

Internships are definitely the way to go if you want to get hired with reduced minimums. They aren't for everyone though.

Just got word that Delta is resuming its internship program for both spring and summer of 2012. Unfortunately its a little late to apply, the interviews for them are TODAY in ATL.

ASA (whos doing the interviewing) is giving credit to folks for ANY internship they've done, not just ones who did ASA/XJT ones. Kinda a good deal if you did one at a major and have a hookup there after driving an RJ.

That is absolutely correct. I interned with Mesaba and they said they were basically counting it as if I interned with them.

Hi juxtapilot Im supposed to be starting training on the 6th. Have you heard anything about getting study material ahead of time? PM me if you like.

Cool, see you there. I've asked around about this and have been told not to study anything. No gouges, no ERJ study guides etc. Just follow their program that starts on the 6th and relax until then. :)

Hey all,
I just got the call for an interview at Express Jet Feb. 20th. Are the gouges still good? Anything unexpected I should know? Finally does anyone know what bases they are hiring for?

The first day we took the cognitive test, the personality test, then the 60 question aviation knowledge test. This test was tough, knowledge required is to an ATP level, bet I've heard they don't count it towards the interview. After lunch we went to the 737 sim, climb to 5000 at 250 then up the 8000. A few turns, holding, then vectors for the ILS. Second day we took the 30 question aviation knowledge test, which is basic ifr stuff, then the hr portion which is a piece of paper with a few questions on it. Last is the tabular test which is easy to do but somewhat tough to complete all 50. After all that is done you'll do the tech interview. Good luck, let me know if you have anymore questions. I interviewed dec 22, and start training on the 6th of feb.
