Any rumors of PUBNAT 8?

yeah, but don't they send it to everyone that took and passed the ATSAT; or is it for real, that they are reviewing the applications?

also, and this is the big one for you pubnat 8'ers....he told me (and i didnt ask him about this he just told me) that they are reviewing pubnat 8 on the 18th for sure, and then AGAIN in april. so i just though you guys would wanna know this stuff.

Did your contact say how many new hires ZNY is taking this year????
 
The "Your application is being reviewed" goes out to everyone who submitted geographic preferences and had it received by the system. If you 1. Weren't asked to submit geographic preferences, 2. Did not do so, or 3. Had some sort of problem doing it, you won't receive the email.

KT430 is correct, the score is good for three years. After you've been selected, it's no longer relevant. And the minimum time for a retake is 1 year, although that doesn't mean you can just call them up and schedule one -- it's just the minimum amount of time that has to pass before you can be offered the opportunity. In over two years of talking to hundreds of applicants, I've yet to meet one who has ever been offered the chance to do a retake. Just speculations on how it would work (say, applying OTS and then going through CTI). But that doesn't mean it can't happen, it's just rare.

he didn't say, but my natca rep told me like 3 months ago that zny is getting 50 new hires this year...im not sure if he meant this fiscal year, or actually in 2011. either way, still good for anyone wanting to go to zny.

well, according to what others have said, ZNY is looking to hire, and that is my primary geo pref...so i'm not sure...i still dont see anything for me though.

Not in the past. I received it for a prior PUBNAT, but the states I listed did not have lists generated.
 
I made the friggin' referral list!!! This would be exciting, except I don't want to do this anymore. Honestly, you couldn't pay me enough to go back to aviation.

Although I should probably just call Av. Careers and withdraw, I'm kind of curious about how far I can make it in the process.
 
If you don't want the job anymore, you should withdraw. You could be taking an opportunity away from someone who does want the job.

All I can say is to not be an ass. If you don't want to do it, call Aviation Careers on Tuesday and cancel your application. There are too many people out there that see this as their dream job (i.e. - me) that probably had people like you keep them out of the Academy because you wanted to see how far you could get. Do the rest of the application class a favor and open up your slot so someone who actually wants to do this job can do it.
 
Sorry about that, I see where you guys are coming from. I'll call in on Tuesday and cancel. Not trying to be a jerk -- sorry if I came off that way.
 
I seem to move further along in this process just as I tend to lose hope, haha.
