Announcement Ending 05/02

If I remember correctly, at previous PEPC's, terminal applicants and enroute applicants were scheduled to be there on different days. So if that was true, each group would still have equal opportunity for space if invites went out at different times.

That makes sense. Were the dates listed on the emails different for terminal and enroute? I'm just wondering how it works since you have to respond with the date and location you want to attend. How are you supposed to know which is which? Maybe I'm missing something, or am slightly confused about this part...

I wasn't aware of this happening either! What is the purpose of mailing letters to current employers?! After you leave the PEPC, don't you leave with a TENTATIVE offer? Or is that when you get the FOL? I don't want my employer knowing BEFORE I tell them! :banghead:

I glanced at the letter and it asks about is this person rehireable, any employment issues with the employee blah blah blah.

They send it to them after you receive your TOL when they begin the background (before an FOL).

Well I'm actually a bit anxious about this one. I missed out on the last referral and was too busy looking for a real job to keep up with things. Best of luck.

I'm not sure how it worked out when they asked you to pick dates via e-mail. I didn't make it to the PEPC step for PUBNAT1 so I can only recall what I read casually on the forums while I waited for PUBNAT2 to catch up to me :(

I always thought it was illegal to check up on previous employers and ask personal biased info on a employee? Like if they show up on time, etc.

Remember this is not necessarily questions to base on decision to hire (HR related). These are questions to base your integrity, etc in order to grant you secret security clearance (enroute) or public trust security clearance (tower)

The previous PEPCs were scheduled for a Mon-Fri by city in which Mon & Tues were for enroute and Wed-Fri were for tower with perhaps a little spillage here and there.

Your employer only gets a letter for like a questionnaire, he doesn't get any information about anything else. They won't know what's going on until you tell them, that's why boomer had to explain to his employer what's going on, because they got a mail from department of investigation(or whatever it is) lol, some people would freak out.

Oh man! That blows! I can so see that happening with my Employer...having to explain XYZ to them.

I just told him I am being investigating for Money Laundering and he seemed fine. LOL, I kid, I kid.

I will also point out it does say on the front of the form with your information "Air Traffic Controller".

Maybe I'm weird, but I told my current employer what I was doing before I even took the AT-SAT.

Basically: Hey boss, I'm looking for a career where I have financially security and a hopeful future. I see that your company doesn't offer that to its employees, so I would like to find it with the FAA as an air traffic controller. I am currently progressing that goal and may have to take various days off for various reasons. Thanks in advance!
