Just something to add to all those at Airnet and FlightExpress. Amerijet is a sister company to you under HIG/Bayside. Take note when other career options become available.
 
Not saying that Kalitta Air is part of Kalitta Charters II (a.k.a "K2")...I'm just differentiating so the Kalitta Air guys wont get confused with Doug Kalitta's scum outfit. Be warned...the Chief Pilot jump seats on FEDEX from DTW to MIA and MIA to DTW on a regular basis. You FEDEX guys need to start checking the scab list; this guy is insulting your intelligence.

The Air Tran pilots can be in uniform, just not displaying Air Tran wings or Hat emblem, or at least that's how I understand their MOU.

You really need to fact check your sources. You almost didn't get anything correct.

1. Kalitta Charters II IS NOT crossing the line.


2. KII pay is significantly better than Amerijet.
  • FE/PFE's start out above 2nd year Amerijet FO's
  • FO's start out above a 15 year Amerijet FO
  • CA's start out just below a 15 year Amerijet CA

All their aircraft have a LAVs
All flights have coolers, ice, and soda (provided by the company)
Depending on the flight length, the longer flights are get catered
Lodging is provided in base at the company's expense

Any union having questions about KII should talk to Air's MEC about KII's status, IMO...
 
No chief, you need to get your facts straight. I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE ARE NO LAVS ON BOARD Kalitta Charters II B727s. Also, newly hired class had FE start at $32,000 per year....FACT!! 7% Pay cut as of January 2009....FACT!! Director of Maintenance suspended A&P...FACT!! Federal investigation by the U.S. DOT...FACT!! If you are a Kalitta pilot, come clean and say so...otherwise, if you fly the Kalitta Air side of the house, you have no idea what you're talking about.
 
...and by the way, airlinepilotcentral.com failed to list things I submitted regarding Kalitta Charters II. But, when you look closely, you'll notice a 7% pay cut mentioned...and it came from me.
 
...FACT!! And by the way, the port-a-potty on the horse charter aircraft for Kalitta Charters II doesn't count as a lav; no water on board in the event of a HAZ MAT event...no way to take a #!#@. Any pilot who defends the working conditions for pilots at Ameristar or Kalitta Charters II needs a serious psych evaluation. Sitting on stranded aircraft at remote ramps away from anything for hours on end is abuse guys. This happens on a regular basis at Kalitta Charters II; these are the things we need to stand together against...but we're always going to get those few who will defend using a candle when the light switch is in their reach...incredible.

No no, it makes perfect sense as far as I can see, you don't want your employees (or even your Union Members) to be seen as having a part in something which they are not directly involved. The media is pretty dumb and can have the tendency to screw up some of the important facts. Imagine if this was the headline, "AIRTRAN PILOTS STRIKE IN SOLIDARITY!!!!" Stock prices drop at that kind of information, which in turn may damage your ability to make ends meat. Just my $1.05 (Amurcah!)

hmmm...lets see...Your information is outdated, inaccurate, and your a newb. Most likely APC didn't publish your "info" because they fact checked it and it was BS.
