At least the coffee mug isn't broken this time.

I think the new D.O. is really making some good changes as well. They have brought some pretty good people in as management. Should be interesting to see what happens.

What is sad, however, is that employees find out about things like pay raises, new runs opening up (ABQ is a perfect example), and other company information on JetCareers long before AMF makes an announcement to employees.

If only AMF had some sort of website, or portal perhaps, where management could post things and employees could log in and read about these new things.......hmmmm.....

I'm not sure the pay raise will happen. But I know it's been in the hopper. If I was one of the pilots who is going to get laid off in ABQ. Apply and try to get hired in the 99 or Chieftain. It certainly won't hurt your resume if you end up logging some turbine time. Or be a check airman or TC. When life hands you lemons..... make lemonade.

Is that the pay raise? Sweet frisbee...

In all seriousness a pay raise is a decade overdue, whatever they raise the scales to it won't be enough but it is better than no raise at all. Glad to hear guys that stay at AMF will get a bump in pay.

The ups feeder in ABQ is currently south aero. Aerolynx does flying for DMC carrying mostly lab samples, pharma and still some bank stuff. I know just about every pilot at south as we are in and out of a lot of the same towns and talk on the radio every day. They are really an awesome group of people.

South does have 13 daily runs and most of the pilots there have been there for several years, very little turnover at that company. They have a reputation of excellent maintenance, above average pay, and good management. This has come as a shock to just about every one of them and I really feel for them. Nobody around here knows why AMF is taking over as south has had the contract for many years, but I wish them all the best of luck. I understand that competition is necessary, but it is still sad to see a locally owned company that has had such solid roots in the community go away.

Anybody know if AMF bought the company flying those ABQ routes? That could be a possibility and I don't know how they can staff new runs without hiring those pilots.

Considering the stuff I've seen says 10 PA31 runs and 3 BE99 runs, and the company that is there is apparently 402 and 208's, I would say there is a strong possibility that the answer to your question is no.

Word from AMF is that they won the runs from UPS and are moving in, and did not buy South. With the new HQ being in DFW and new ownership, I would imaging that there will be more expansion in that region as well.

AMF wants to hire them. AMF hopes they apply. As of now four turbine aircraft and nine piston twins will need 15-16 pilots

Haha! Yes, the current site is about as fresh as a LORAN unit.

They're unveiling a new *cough* MODERN *cough* update, sometime soon... Let's just say that it looks like west coast customs came in for the overhaul on this one. Me likey.

Let's add that to the list...

New pilot portal. Announced first on JetCareers, not through AMF. Why doesn't AMF just talk to @Derg and use JetCareers as their pilot portal? JC seems to have more up to date information and is leaps and bounds better than what is currently in place. Maybe just a forum for new bids and schedules....

Well it might have been a few administrations ago but they were pressured by EagleJet to pull out of Aviation Career Expo AT THE LAST MINUTE because of my statements about EagleJet and why their program had no value for pilots in the US market.

I got over it and I didn't hear a peep from Ameriflight or even a half-hearted apology for costing me several thousand dollars and the credibility that we lost when we didn't deliver the full roster of recruiters at the event.

If they want help, absolutely. It's about your careers and helping advance you guys forward in your endeavors.

They have my contact information and I'm not holding a grudge.

Yeah. That was a bad deal. Eagle Jet put major pressure on them to pull out. I managed to get may room payed for and per diem out of it though! :)

@Derg I really did feel bad about that entire situation.

Don't apologize for something in which you did nothing wrong, bro! :)

Why bother, they treated you the same way they treat their employees...
