Depending on the dbaggery at the given moment, you have both "training contracts" running congruently. Trust me.

Remember that time the company came and said thanks for signing up for another year, lemme rip up this old but valid training contract so if you leave in two months we have less to nail you with?

My current beef as of TODAY!

They aren't even enforcing training contracts! If I were current AMF management, I'd do everything in my power (which is A LOT today) to make sure anyone that broke one didn't make it anywhere!!! Currently, guys looking to leave are offered resume padding positions, bonuses, and raises. Including those blatantly breaking contracts. I only hope I'm in a position to turn down such individuals someday. Some bases suck and even AMF might suck, but everyone signed up for EVERY single thing 100% on their own

Because indentured servitude is a good thing? Things change, people change, one-sided contracts don't account for that. I left one, and I'm paying it back, because I signed on the dotted line (and because I couldn't afford diapers on what I was making at a particular UPS feeder operator)- that said, let's be realistic - if you can't keep your people at a place because it's a good place to work, then trying to keep them there by black mail ("keep working here or we'll take you to court for the money we sunk in you!") hardly seems like a good thing.

Then don't come here or fly additional equipment. Nothing, NOTHING is hidden from anyone here. I mean, unless your ACP is super secretive I guess...

This will be a good place to work in about 6 months. BQN is actually really good. The next job will be a step backwards. Even a legacy. It just doesn't make any sense for me to stay with my hours regardless. I have ZERO tolerance towards whiners, liars, and lack of integrity however. The current bunch in many bases

You would make an excellent addition to management if you aren't already in BUR. Very aligned thinking..

I was talking to a Ameriflight mechanic and was told all the mechanics received pay raises a couple months ago. Hopefully the pilots are next.....

I heard the absolute funniest thing to date, from a current AMFer. No pay increases happening anytime soon, but they will gladly pay you a signing bonus to sign another year contract lol. So guys that have been there 7 years, no pay raise, but can get a new hire signing bonus if they sign another year. I was so offended when I heard that I almost exploded.

And you're still cool with the training contracts?

Trust me. People have been lied to that I don't blame in the least for leaving. They were told about schedules that did not exist. I was told about a schedule that did not exist. Right from the lips of AL.

Another problem is that the employee manual is only used when it benefits management. What is written inside essentially means nothing to an employee.

Does anyone have an accurate starting pay scale?

Is this accurate (first year pay):

Brasilia FO $1973/mo
Chieftan $2333/mo
BE-99 $2333/mo
1900/Metro $3371/mo
Brasilia $3614/mo

This was taken from WillFlyForFood from several years ago.

What do you mean?

I mean to say that you're cool with them going after people for skipping out on training contracts but are upset about bonuses instead of raises? I dunno I tend to think they're both unconscionable ways for a company to behave.

I recall Sherri telling me I could "easily" make over $30k in the first year if I become a training captain. And of course "once you get to the layover, the whole day is yours to do whatever you want." Hehehe, yeeeeeaaaaaaah....

Other than for the chieftain that pay scale hasn't changed for over a decade.
