Ameriflight

Their was a rumor that AMF was possibly going to have a route from KSAN/KMYF to KIMP. Has anyone heard anything more?

Thanks

Just got an email from HR, sent resume. Been looking at their route maps. What do they fly from SLC-BOS or BOS-MIA? What do pilots out here like better, CA bases or PDX/SEA? I have 3200hrs and 750 Multi-Turbine so fingers crossed for the Beech or Metro.

BOS-MIA are Glow (radioactive stuff) flights I believe. Done with a metro and only happen once a week. PDX/SEA tend to be more senior with a lot of lifers. Should be able to go straight into the Metro/1900.

Close, but the BOS MIA stuff is more than once a week.

Lears are long gone. SLC -BOS really isn't a run it stops and connects with another flight. Don't go to Cali or PDX you'll never see outside a 99. See if you can get a metro or 1900 opening. Pilots are leaving so fast. I won't be surprised if smaller bases are "synergized" with larger bases by years end. You do have an ATP? And 135 cargo experience?

The BOS-SLC is actually BOS-CVG-SUS-SLC on Sunday. I don't know enough about the coastal glow flights to comment about them. They are long runs, but good for building time, if that's what your into.

Seattle is a great base (I vote best in the system) if you don't mind the weather. The metro training is in Seattle so when you upgrade it's nice being home for training.

the further you get from a UPS hub the better your schedule.

In PDX you will never see a turbine until you move and the whole taxing to the ups ramp in the morning and freezing your ass off for an hour isn't exactly a good time.

Hey guys and gals! Got my May 12th Class Date at BUR with AMF! I'll be training for a BE99 slot. Thanks for all your help, I was super prepared and the interviews were a breeze. Any advice on indoc and standardization training?

Memorize your flows. With loud noises and distractions in the background. That's the single best thing you can do to prepare.
