Airport passengers to have 'naked' photos taken by full-body

Make sure you all run out and get that swine flu vaccine. It has a good track record, well developed, and cannot possibly cause harm---
SARCASM!
My AME said he wanted me to get the H1N1 thing...

Bankrupt the middle east in less than a decade and become the world supplier in clean and renewable energy technology. However, there is more immediate money in fear.

That is one of the biggest problems with our current situation, where we import 70 percent of our oil. A lot of the countries that we import the oil from are countries that are not friendly to us.

Stop importing so much oil and we address the trade deficit and we also stop funding countries that don't like us.

And I don't want to hear the let's drill here thing. We have three percent of the world's oil reserves and consume 25 percent of its production. Not happening.

When airport security comes up in a conversation I either climb onto my soapbox and explain how I feel it does little to make me safer and demonstrates a "win" for terror organizations as they have changed out culture to constantly focus on them or at least say I will not discuss it because it will make me angry and get the current conversation nowhere.

Yet as strongly as I feel, have I written any of my representatives? No. Do I know how my representatives voted on measure permitting thing? No. Have I personally taken any steps to change my surroundings? No.

Who is really to blame here?

Just food for debate...

I don't see what the problem is here. You pass through the scanner, and it doesn't take a picture of your face or anything else that can be used to identify you. Yes, I know that the picture shows an outline of the faces of those who passed through it, but can you tell who that person is by that? I can't.

Unless you're a porn star and can be identified by your private parts, nobody will know it's you.

Besides, if they do use this scanner on me, it will reveal that I have the body of a Greek god so it's all good.:)
So by that rational, if one day we were to arrive at the airport, we go through a line, have a bag placed over our heads, then led to security, stripped naked in front of everyone (but you have a bag over your head, so no-one can identify you), it might be ok? Nobody can tell it's you, right?

Sounds good to me...it would scare off the majority of fat and/or ugly people from going through the airlines for their transportation needs. With that group out of the running, the airlines could then re-institute good-looking flight attendant policies..since pretty people don't want to be served by ugly people after all.

While we are at it, perhaps all flight attendants and flight crews will have to comply with the new Air New Zealand body-paint dress codes. It would certainly make for a more entertaining flight experience.

(If you didnt get the :sarcasm: , then I dont know what else to say....)

you know what, im gonna go ahead and say I DONT CARE TO BE THAT "SAFE".

gimme back some of those "freedom" things and quit trading them for those "security" things.

I agree!! Enough already with over security.

I dare someone to walk through and do the "woo woo" thing while they are in it.

Look, nothing would make me happier than returning to the days where I could saunter on through the security line with my box cutters in my briefcase in ten minutes or less.

We're not going back to those days, even though the airplane trick was only three for four on the day it was used.

I would rather have this done than having to go through the charade we have now. If using this means I don't have to take off my shoes and don't have to take off my belt and watch, then do it.

So would you be opposed to TSA putting bags on our head, and stripping us naked then? Pretty much the same thing here.

Not really. The system they are talking about would be a hell of a lot quicker than the one in place, where stripping everyone naked would take a hell of a lot longer.

I don't like the system, but we are not getting rid of it. We're stuck with it. This is an improvement on it.

Besides, I'm sure that if you really object, you can just say pat me down instead like you can now and they'll do it.
