CPDLC and we love it, but Washington screwed the pooch and can’t send route updates- so we hate them.
Insert, accept, activate. It’s awesome.
I hate Washington.
We used to fly VFR out of TEB a lot when I started at Airnet back in '05. Turn north to the GWB, 1000' to the Alpine Tower then 2500' to the Tappan Zee and turn right to HFD/BDL. That was back when the Dalton and the VOR-A were still things there also.That's about a 065 heading from Teb to Massaholessettes. Not much to hit in between except the alpine tower. Sendit!
Sucks that it’s center only at this point.. but, 1/2 a beer is better than no beers. So I’ll take what I can get, but push for full implementation as much as I can..CPDLC should be a game changer at all those remote airports. But the entire system is lagging with the procedures to make it effective.
Where is that video?The video of the guy trying to do that out of BFI going to Greece in the Global is both hilarious and infuriating.
