After cargo???

I have known lots of pilots but none that have flown cargo and went else where (after flying cargo for a few years), where do pilots go after cargo or is it dead end, I would think other company's would like cargo pilots because they have hands on flying experiance... Any input???

I was thinking more in the aviation realm...

Ok, more specifically.......flew fighters (A-10/F-117) then helos (HH-60) in the Air Force after flying 135 cargo; then went to law enforcement aviation after leaving active duty where I fly UH-1 and UH-60 now.

...and freestyle rapping.

Corporate, charter, ems, 135 in general. 135 ops like to see you can fly an airplane, hence liking to see previous 135 spifr.

Pretty much anything. I don't think you can make the leap from 135 cargo to major. There are some who made that jump in the past but there just aren't enough major jobs to go around.
I will say this, if you got the times to fly freight you probably can get on with a regional. If that's where your trying to go anyways, just go there from the start. The seniority will pay off.

Went from cargo, to military aviation, to freestyle rapping much like MikeD. Pretty standard flow, really.

I flew cargo for 6 years. Decided to give the regionals a try and thats why I'm no longer in aviation (still do some instructing). I wish I had never left cargo. Le sigh...

A few of our guys went the regional route, but they only stuck around for a few months and were young enough that it really made sense to get that seniority clock started. Part 91 corporate seems to be a major target for folks who are thinking of leaving. 135 pax charter or ems is second. We've had people do all of those.

Me, I'll probably do porn under the name "Captain Autothrust" or go back to flying 172s on calm Sunday mornings.

135 cargo -> 135 cargo.
I enjoy cargo and would / will be happy to retire doing this.

Thanks for the input... I'm only trying to get on with one regional or one cargo company but no call backs from either , and I really only want to work for those company's... (I get payed well teaching Chinese but I can't do it much longer)
